Chapter Twenty: Darkened

(Alix's POV)

"What the hell was that?!" Trevor says reacting to the explosion.

"I have no idea!" I reply letting go of Carly spotting many men running towards the scene of the explosion with their weapons

"You guys! Proceed with us!" One of the guards demand then he moves on.

"Agh great, cmon!" Trevor says with his weapon and begins moving.

"What should we do, should we use this as your opportunity to escape?!" Carly says frantically.

"Only if there is a way. I'm not leaving you here." I say.

"Let's go check out what's happening." I say tossing her a handgun.

We arrive to the scene of the explosion to see a huge whole in the wall of the hanger and a break in the fence.

"The target is getting away! Go through the fence and capture her! The rest of you, make sure no infected get in and help Gordon!" The man says. The rest of the armed men do as told and follow his order.

"Who are they after?" I ask frantically.

"I don't know much, but I've heard something about capturing a girl from nearby to get answers from her." Carly explains.

"Oh my god."

"That's my sister."

(SIERRA'S POV)

"Come back here little Sierra! I'm not done with you!" The voice speaks.

I ignore the voice as I'm dodging trees and rocks, and countless dead zombies.

"Fuck off!" I comply.

"What if I told you about your family." Gordon says.

I instantly stop not turning around.

"Hmm, what's was her name... Alix? Yes Alix, she put up a fight... But she was easy to put down." Gordon says.

"What did you with her?" I demand answer with a growl in my voice.

"Oh my it was so much fun!" He says

"Ok I'll tell you. We attached a rock to her foot and threw her in the river." He says.

I instantly turn around and charger toward him with full force.

"Come here kitty kitty"

I launch towards his chest with the scissors in my hand but he throws me into a tree. Pain hits my back but anger makes me stronger.

I rise up and run towards him, this time I tackle him down and we began rolling down the steep hill with sharp branches and rocks.

"Is that all you got?" He says as he his hovering above me as I'm laying on the ground.

"Your a jackass!" I say getting out my scissors and jabbing it into his foot.

"You know little about me. But with you it's going to be so much more exciting." He says pulling out his machete from his machete holster on his back.

"See, strong man always carry strong weapons for times like this. But this game is over little Sierra, oh and one more thing, that didn't hurt at all."

He lifts up his machete then begins lowering it to faster and faster towards me. Until..

"Oh. no. you. fucking. don't. Bitch!" Someone comes it to be Alix shooting him with ever word she says. Over and over the bullets enter his body until he falls, dead.

"Oh my god! Sierra!" Alix runs toward me with tears running down her cheek.

"There they are!" A man says but another 2 people began holding them off.

"Carly, Trevor hold them off!" Alix says picking me up and all of us began running.
