Quite frankly, Y/N was typically a loner and didn't enjoy getting out much or being around people, too much work is what he would think.

"Five god damned years," Y/N said as he drove down rural Spain's barely paved bad rodes. "I pushed myself to be better for her, for five damned years and it was for nothing!" Y/N grimaced as he sped up down the dangerous roads.

Recently, Y/N's now ex-girlfriend told him she couldn't weigh herself down with a person like me. Y/N never really got out, all of his friends from when he was young have moved on a drifted apart. All he had anymore was that girl, but it just wasn't enough for her. Y/N worked a dead-end job he hated, and he wasn't shy of complaining about it when he got home to their shared apartment in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Just like any other day, Y/N got home from work only to find a note on the kitchen counter detailing every wrongdoing he had done and the reasons why he'd never see her again.  And it pissed him off, badly. Not because she was making things up about him, but because all of it was true. He was mad at himself. He locked himself in for months, but then it struck him while he watched the news, Travel! That could be what very well urges him to make a worthwhile change in himself. That may just be what happens, but in no way was he ready for the reality that was about to unravel in front of him.

Y/N sped down these almost archaic roads, faster than he probably should have. "God these roads are terrible, I probably should have rented that AWD Truck instead of this little Nissan" Y/N said to himself as he took a drag off his half-smoked cigarette and went to return his hand that held the cigarette to the outside of the window until the cherry at the tip of the cigarette got blown off by the hard wind coupled with the high speed he was driving landing onto the crotch of the rental car. "Shit! Shit! Shit!" Y/N hollered as his attention was brought to the part of the seat that rested between his legs. He took his hand and stamped out the cherry, unfortunately not before it burnt a hole straight through the seat. "God dammit, this is gonna be expensive-" Y/N began to say before noticing a girl walking across the road almost as if she had no idea that a car was barreling towards her. Y/N instinctively slammed his foot onto the break, but, it was too late. the cold and under-cared-for road kept the breaks from slowing the vehicle fast enough. Then they made contact with a sickening "THUMP"  as the girl was sent skidding across the patchy pavement. Y/N immediately threw the car into park and got out to check the condition of the girl he had hit with panic in his eyes. As he ran passed his car he noticed the wheel well of the front tire where he hit the girl was completely destroyed, destroyed unlike it should be. Extremely mangled metal that couldn't be fixed, at all. "What the fuck? Is she made out of concrete?!" Y/N said as he turned his attention back to the girl, who was now beginning to stand in an unnatural way, the disgusting noise of bone and flesh stretching and cracking. As he started to back up towards the passenger side of the now destroyed and unusable car, the girl with her neck snapped almost to her back started sprinting at Y/N with her arms outstretched and making disturbing guttural noises, like she had forgotten what she should sound like. Before Y/N could react she had her hands wrapped tightly around his neck, the force of her dead sprint toward him and her grabbing onto his throat sent the two of them tumbling over the hill positioned next to the "road" The last thing Y/N remembered was seeing dead leaves fly into the sky from their tumble down the hill and into the woods.

Y/N woke up feeling a splitting pain on the back of his head, reached back, and looked at his hand to see a small amount of blood. "Must not be too bad if I'm not gushing blood"  Y/N said as he began standing up to get his bearings he was met with a sight he never thought he would, or ever wanted to see in his entire life. He saw the woman that he had hit, the woman who attacked him, laying on top of a large broken tree branch piercing through her chest. Y/N was stunned and stared absent-mindedly as the now corpse of his attacker's before he noticed what looked like worms squirming from her injuries, her eyes, and her ears. anywhere there was an opening they were squirming like they wanted to get out of their dying host. That's when Y/N collapsed emptying his stomach of everything he'd eaten that day due to the grotesque sight in front of him. "Holy fuck this can't be real... help. I need help." Y/N grunted to himself as he started walking away from the scene.

Y/N walked, sometimes running for what seemed like hours before he has begun to see man-made structures not just woodlands

Y/N walked, sometimes running for what seemed like hours before he has begun to see man-made structures not just woodlands.  Passing through a gate that looked old enough that even his grandparents probably weren't around for its creation. As he walked through the metal doors that barely hung onto the rock fencing holding it up he noticed that a trail started to be noticeable on the woodland ground. "God I'm fucking freezing" The adrenaline from being attacked and seeing something unnatural kept him from feeling the stinging cold of a Spanish forest in the winter. "Fuck it," Y/N said before pulling a pack of cigarettes out of his warm winter jacket and lighting it as he walked the path ahead of him. "if you have em, smoke em" Y/N usually talked to himself in situations that weren't anyone's idea of fun. He found that it helps him keep calm and collected. As Y/N finished his cigarette he came up to a house in disrepair almost looking abandoned except for the minor light emanating from the windows.

Before Y/N put his foot on the first step, he looked to the side of the patio of this house, seeing a young man, not much older than himself lying dead nearly out of eyesight

Before Y/N put his foot on the first step, he looked to the side of the patio of this house, seeing a young man, not much older than himself lying dead nearly out of eyesight. Y/N began panicking again, wondering what the hell he had walked into now sweating through the biting cold due to adrenaline and fear Y/N heard a low rumble of a vehicle not far from where he had come through the old gate. This made him take notice of the leg holster resting on the body of the young man, in it a Beretta 92. As Y/N bent down to pick it up he noticed the body seemed to be in a uniform he didn't recognize, maybe some kind of cop? He didn't pause to think on it long before he grabbed the pistol and belt/holster combo that was around the waist of the deceased. Hearing the engine noise grow ever closer he rushed into the disheveled cabin not knowing the chain of events that was to follow.
