Y/N Perspective
Leon must have noticed the look of dread on my face as I looked at the village square, brimming with what I assumed were more monstrous villagers, and my assumption was confirmed when I saw one of them light the pyre holding what looked like an officer of the law. "It'll be fine, just stick close to me and listen," Leon said to me as he rested his hand on my shoulder. "Are you sure we could get through them? There's at least 30, not counting the many more that could be hiding inside any of these buildings." I said as I crouched down, following Leon's lead as we took a trail off to the left of the gate that we entered.

"Keep low and quiet." Leon said as we slowly crept up the small path. "We're gonna need a plan if we get noticed, right? I feel like we would be up shit creek without a paddle if we get noticed" I whispered, slowly following behind the man who seemed unaffected by the danger we were in. "We improvise." Leon said in a hushed tone. "Improvise?! You said that I need to follow your instructions if I wanna make it, Improv is the opposite of following instructions." I said, slightly louder than I should have out of panic at what I thought to be something not so well thought out on Leon's side. "Look, I saw how you handled that Beretta when that bastard got his hands on me, you did a brass check and took the safety off, you may not be trained but your instincts are good. I feel like you'll be able to work out what to do if it comes down to it." I couldn't help but be taken aback by his words, a slight smile crept across my face as we continued down the path in silence, a new confidence building in my chest. Leon brought his fist up as we reached a crossing where we would be exposed. "I'm gonna move ahead and disable the hostile across from us before we get noticed, come join me once she's gone." Leon explained "Understood" I replied.

I watched as Leon slowly crept up behind what looked to be a woman before he stood up behind her, wrapping his hand over her mouth to muffle the sound of her struggle as he plunged his knife into her throat, ending the threat before it noticed us. He helps the body to the ground so as to not make more noise than needed before waving me over. I slowly check the corner before I make my way over. "See? You check your corners before you move, you'll do fine." Leon whispered before continuing the crouch walk along the left side of the village with me not far behind. "You seem like you've been in a situation like this before, were you in the army?" I said in a hushed tone so as to not alert the villager we noticed walking past the fence ahead of us. "I'll tell you later" Leon whispered as we walked passed a small shack to our left.
