Reo Mikage a guy who lives in a luxury life, 'I want that so get me that' guy. His once joyful smile turned into a quiet and expressionless one.
He was currently heart broken after he court a girl who rejected him for some reason. And that girl is y/n l/n, his classmate who came from Sapporo. You were always told by everyone that Reo was the one who puts chocolates, flowers and letter on your desk that made you annoyed and pissed.
"come on, just one chance? Please?" He asked following you around the campus, hands filled with expensive chocolates. "I already told you, it's a no and you'll never have a chance, now stop following me"
"No."
"Okay, listen here you Mikage, I do not want you around me." You spat and walked away leaving him dumbfounded and his eyes holds sadness and desperation.
days turned to weeks, you never talk to him again and avoid him to also remove your feelings towards him. You were scared that people may think you're after his money and wealth. That's why, you always shut him out, reject his gifts and his invitation for you to come to his house.
meanwhile, Reo wasn't happy about what happened, he wants you so desperately, he wants you to be his. He can't stand it whenever a guy ask you out but you reject them.
"maybe she hates me?" He asked to his self and started walking to a opposite way. Nagi saw him but he didn't follow and doesn't want to ask why he's like that for the past week.
but Nagi knows Reo likes you, and then it hit him, Nagi is also the one who's being asked by Reo things like 'what do you think? Will she like this flowers?' and other stuffs.
Maybe y/n is reason why he's like that. The white haired boy thought and spotted you from the distance, walking with books in your hands.
He waited until you were close to him, "Hey y/n, may we speak in private?" Nagi asked, staring down at you.
You raise a brow in confusion yet you agreed.
Nagi leads you to a vacant room but didn't close the door, the room is filled with old broken chairs, broken tables on the corners, it's messy around but have a space. "What is it that you want?" you asked sighing.
"It's about Reo." Nagi says making you pause and your eyes twitched when he turned around to look at you. "Did something happen between you two?"
backing away, your throat felt like it has been block, it feels heavy, your heart pounding fast as you avoid his eyes. Holding on the books tightly, you coughed. "ask him." the only words that formed and spill out of your mouth. Nagi wasn't satisfied with your answer and got close to you.
"y/n please, you know how much he likes you, but all you do is shutting him out, rejecting him, and worse of all, you broke his heart"
"then he should have stop from the day I reject his gifts, it's getting annoying for me– he always think that giving me those are going to make things better, but no!"
You exclaimed, making the white haired boy back away from you and stare at you in horror. tears falling down your cheeks are your breath becomes uneasy.
The book you were holding, made contact with the floor.
"I do know how much he likes me, but you don't know how scared I am to be accused by everyone that I'm just after his wealth and money! I do like him, but never said it cause I know it will be complicated for both of us"
but what you didn't know is that the purple haired male was outside the room, listening to both of you. It just happened that Reo saw both you and Nagi going to the vacant room and out of curiosity, he followed.
"what are you saying, y/n?" Nagi asked, he was looking at you with worried look. He didn't mean to make you cry.
"he–Reo lives in a luxury life unlike me, do you think those girls out there will leave me alone if they find out I'm dating the guy they like? No!" you said, holding on the broken tables for a support. It feels like your heart can't take it anymore.
"Do you think they'll be happy knowing that this poor girl dating someone like him? What will others think, I'm only dating him because of his look and money?"
Reo is in a verge of breaking down as well, he doesn't know what to actually feel after hearing you say that words. It hurts him that you're scared of what other people may think and say.
Just by hearing your sobs, he couldn't take it anymore and entered the room, looking down at your figure. Nagi give him a look before exiting. Reo came closer to you and pats your back.
"hey, stop crying,"
Your mind felt like it was attacked by a lightning. His voice was enough to make you gulp and stop, looking to your side. You see him again.
"reo..."
"I'm so sorry y/n, I've been a jerk just by thinking that giving you gifts can make everything better. But is it true, you also like me?" he asked staring right in to your eyes. "ha? of course it is, you heard it" you said standing up.
"But I'm just scared of what they'll think" grabbing the books one by one, Reo didn't keep his eyes off you.
"don't be, you know to yourself that you are not like that, and I know it too. it's going to be complicated but it'll work, so please give me a chance. I promise, I won't by you expensive stuffs anymore" he says, you look into his eyes and as always, it holds desperation but something is in there too, it's love.
"promise?"
"Promise."
After hearing that, you chuckled and wipe the tears away before walking out the room with Reo following behind you. "Let me carry that for you" he says pointing at the books in your hands, "you sure?" You asked.
"Yes, I don't want my y/n carrying heavy stuffs" he says in a teasing way that made you laugh, you gave the books to him and continue walking together.
at least, Nagi is relieved that you two are fine now.
