When you and Emily first started to see each other it was apparent that Sergio took a liking to you. Every Friday you would come to Emily's apartment and spend the night or even the weekend, Sergio was always happy to see you presenting his belly to you and purring happily. Emily would tell you how he would sit by the door and wait for your arrival so when things became serious it was no surprise that you moved in with Emily and Sergio.

Sergio loved having two mums, if Emily said no to food he'd try and get some off of you, and truthfully he was too damn cute for you to say no. But Sergio was Emily's and you couldn't help but wonder about getting Sergio a little friend. Luckily Emily had the same feelings, knowing you'd never had the chance for a pet growing up. Which was why it was the perfect idea to surprise you with a cat for you to call your own.

When Emily got Sergio from the animal shelter, she remembered seeing how many other kittens were stranded there. Which is exactly why she decided it would be the perfect place to take you to find a fur baby of your. But she wanted you to be surprised so she started to plan.

The middle of May was the first time that you both had some time off from the BAU thanks to Hotch saying the whole team needs a few days to recuperate after back to back cases. That's why Emily decided to surprise you. A little lay in snuggled in each others arms while Sergio curled up happily next to the pair of you. For breakfast you both strolled down to your favourite little cafe for some coffee and breakfast, truly just looking forward to a day with one another.

To say you where clueless where Emily was driving you was an understatement, her hand rested on your thigh when not changing gears as you tried to work out where you were going. Only when Emily pulled in to park the car did you realise you still had no idea. "Em?" You mumbled confused. "Shh angel just wait okay?"

Waiting was worth everything as soon as you entered the shelter you immediately started to cry, "Emi?" You murmured coming to hide your face in her neck as you hugged her, "are we?" "We are baby let's go find our little prince a brother or sister."

Seeing all the kittens without homes made your heart ache and knowing you had to choose just one was hard. But there was one kitten who attached to you, they found themselves curled up on your lap with their little white paws stretched out onto Emily. "Think we found the one em" you murmured stroking the coloured kitten. "This little princess? I agree she's perfect" Emily agreed, "but what do we call her?"

After spending some time with the kitten it was clear that she was the one needed to complete your little family, your little prince Sergio and your little Princess Pebbles. Her markings were what inspired her name and truly it fit her well. After a quick stop the the pet shop, you took Pebbles home to meet her brother, who absolutely adored her and ended up snuggling up with her while you and Emily snuggled up on the sofa.
