But the only people who they haven't sent it to is Reader's mum because Reader's mum isn't exactly happy with Reader being liking girls, nvm dating one. On the day of the wedding, Reader's waiting in the dressing room for her mum but she never comes. (because I related so hard to the tt. we love hate h*mophobic parents) ❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀
When Emily popped the question you couldn't have been happier, it was the perfect proposal. Emily had asked Hotch and JJ to keep you distracted on paperwork from the last case while the other BAU members help set up a little romantic scene in the round table room. It was stunning, red rose petals and very lights in the very room you sneakily stole your first kiss. You were completely unsuspecting of it when JJ led you to the room. You couldn't help but burst into tears when Emily knelt down on one knee, "sweetheart I never wanted to settle down or let my anyone hold my heart incase it was broken again, but with you it's all changed. I want you to hold my heart and keep it safe and I want to build a life and family with my perfect girl. Marry me darling?"

You remember how you whimpered out a yes through streams of happy tears. The rest of your BAU family congratulated you both and you before celebrating the night with you. You and Emily went home and celebrated even further. Your little bubble of bliss didn't last too long as the harsh truth dawned on you, you'd have to tell your parents.

The invites were the hardest thing to write. You had to work out if you wanted to even attempt to send your parents one. Would your dad even want to walk you down the isle? You knew how they felt about your sexuality, your mother had willingly told you that you disappointed her as she had dreams of you with a nice house, husband car and kids. Personally you didn't understand the difference you could have all of that and more with your Emily.

You decided to risk it, giving them the choice to turn up. Unbeknownst to you, the invite landed upon their doorstep and your mother inspected it, you and your other bride which caused her to immediately crumple the invite up and tossed it into the fire to watch it burn.  They wouldn't be attending so your desperate attempt to reach out was so badly ignored.

You received no reply, but yet on your special day, you still sat in your dressing room waiting. You sat in your silk bride housecoat that Penelope insist on you having one alongside Emily. JJ was with your wife and Penelope with you, Rossi agreed to walk you down the isle incase your dad never showed and Hotch for Emily. But you'd be lying if you said it didn't hurt when Penelope hinted it was time to change into your dress.

"Oh honey, don't cry! You'll ruin your makeup" Pen tried to hopefully lighten the mood."I don't even know why I thought she'd turn up, Garcia it hurts why can't she love me for me" you whimpered as she helped you adorn the beautiful dress you'd chosen. "You my darling are beautiful" Garcia whispered all emotional at the sight, you had to to admit you looked stunning.

Rossi entered the room while you took in your appearance for the day. "You look beautiful Bella" her murmured and kissed your cheek, "ready to make prentiss and honest woman?" He teased and managed to pull a genuine smile from you. "Yes let's make me Mrs Prentiss" you murmured back before squeezing Penelope's hand. You headed off to marry the woman of your dreams, the absence of your birth parents wasn't felt too much due to you and Emily having your chosen family to be with you both and celebrate the true love you found.
