Bloom's POV
"This is crazy!" I yelled. "Juliet would tell me if something was up. She would tell me if she was hurt," my voice faded out as I finished my sentence."Would she Bloom! You did abandon her!" Sky yelled towards me.
"Why the hell do you even care! It's not like she's your friend or anything!" I yelled at Sky, before turning toward Dowling. "Why are they even here? They have nothing to do with this!"
"We are her soulmates we have everything to do with this!" Riven replied back in a harsh tone.
"SOULMATES!" I looked at Dowling, exasperated. "Soulmates," I laughed. "You know nothing... NOTHING about her!"
"ENOUGH!" Aisha screamed. It was so loud any tiny side conversations ceased. "None of us know Juliet better than Juliet, but we can't ask her...Right?"
"Right," Dowling confirmed.
"The next best bet we have is Bloom. So BLOOM," she looked around the room daring someone to interrupt her. Her gaze fell back to me, "Does Juliet want to be here? What do you think happened? and are you confident we can trust her?"
"We can...," Sky spoke out of turn. Aisha glared him down, shutting him up instantly.
"We can trust her. She would never betray me, but..." I looked at Riven and Sky with a hint of worry. If she truly was their soulmate, and I only knew so much about soulmates from the few days I had been here, then they were not going to like what I had to say.
"But...?" Silva pushes me to finish, doing some kind of hand motion for me to continue.
"But, she definitely won't like it here. She has a boyfriend back at home, in Gardenia. His name is Carter Smith, he's a great guy," I looked to the headmasters. "If you keep her here she will die, not literally but it will be like she's dead. You have to let her go."
"What if she doesn't want to go?!" Riven demanded. "Are you going to make her go? because maybe Bloom... you need her to go because you can't live with the fact that you left her!"
"I can live with the fact that I left her! We have been best friends since we were five years old! I needed a break! From the world! From my parents! Hell, even from Juliet! because as much as I love her, as much as I wished I regretted leaving her, I don't." I finished.
Everyone looked shocked. They had all headed me preach about how amazing Juliet was and how I wish she could be here with me. I can't lie, getting my true feelings out, admitting them to not only everyone in this room, but to myself felt great. Suddenly something sounded as if it tripped outside the door. My head, along with everyone else's, whipped around with Sky opening the door...
Nothing was there.
"What the hell?" Multiple people whispered.
"We all heard that, right?" Terra, who had been unnaturally quiet this entire night, asked. We shook our heads in agreement.
"Why don't we meet again tomorrow after classes. We all must be tired from our late night." Dowling paused for a moment. "Bloom, will you ask Juliet if she is willing to meet with Silva and I tomorrow?"
"So you can ask her to stay? Look Headmistress, I mean no disrespect to you, Sky, Riven, whoever but, if you keep her here she will die, not literally but it will be like she's dead. You have to let her go home, if she wants to."
With that I stormed out not waiting to see what anyone else would do.
A/N: Sorry this took so long to get published. I rewrote this about one hundred times, some versions were longer, but then I decided I wanted the argument to be its own mini chapter. The original version actually didn't even involve an argument, it was just Juliet leaving Alfea (at least trying to). I wasn't going to write what the group had talked about and write it as flashbacks throughout the story but changed my mind so mini chapter. I will hopefully have another chapter out to you soon. Have a great day/night ❤️
