Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Diabolik Lovers

Chapter 2. Team Goldenheart

The sun had almost completely set, but Yui was determined to finally return to Diabolik lovers Guild.
She had a new found courage, all thanks to meeting Christine, who agreed to form an exploration team with her. The pair arrived at the guild's gate, where they would encounter an unusual security system...

Yui: This is Diabolik Lovers Guild. They say that the founder of the guild, Karlheinz, is one of the greatest explorers of all time. So Pokémon from all over come here to learn how to become a first-rate exploration team.
If we want to be explorers, there really is no better place to train!
Don't you think there's something a little odd about this place though? I've had that feeling as a human as well.
Christine: The entrance does look a little imposing... I can see why nerves got the better of you. Isn't there some kind of sign that explains how we get in? *looks around* The gates are shut tight. And there doesn't seem to be anyone around to ask about opening them up. Maybe they're closed for the day?
Yui: I used to have my own exit. I never went through the front door. When I was here earlier, I discovered that exit blocked off. So I stepped on that grate in front of us... Then some loud voices started yelling at me! It was really scary!
Christine: Huh... what an odd system.
Yui: I'll go first. *takes a deep breath and steps on the grate*

???: Pokémon detected! Pokémon detected!
???: Whose footprint? Whose footprint?
???: The footprint is Vulpix's! The footprint is Vulpix's!

Yui: Yikes! J-just stay put Yui. Be strong...
???: ...That's the same Vulpix that ran away before, isn't it?
Yui: No need to rub it in...
Christine: Ouch. That's brutal.
???: ...You may enter.
Yui: I- I actually did it!
Christine: That's great! I knew you could do it.
???: Not so fast. You're with somebody. So tell that stranger to stand up here.

Yui: *moves of the grate* I guess they mean you, Christine.
Christine: Alright. It's really strange though... I mean, how can they tell if I'm a good Pokémon or not? It's not like I'm the only Eevee in the world...
???: Hey, you. Stranger. Quit your yappin' and get on the grate!
Christine: *startled* Woah! Okay, okay! *steps on the grate*

???: Pokémon detected! Pokémon detected!
???: Whose footprint? Whose footprint?
???: The footprint is... The footprint is... Um...
???: What's the matter?! Sentry! Sentry?! What's wrong, sentry Azusa?
Azusa: Umm...

Below the grate a Wynaut is looking up. Confused at what he's seeing.

Azusa: Umm... The footprint is...
Maybe Eevee's! Maybe Eevee's!
???: What?! Maybe?!
Azusa: B-but... It's not a normal colored Eevee... This one is silver... And Eevee aren't that common... around here...
???: Ugh! That's pretty crummy! Checking the footprints of visiting Pokémon... That's your job, isn't it, Azusa?
Azusa: Yes, but... I don't know what I don't know...

Meanwhile back up top

Yui: Are they... arguing?
Christine: Sounds like it.
???: Sorry to make you wait. Well, it's true that you don't see an Eevee of your color that often... But you don't seem to be bad. Ok, good enough. You may enter.

The gate opens up

Yui: I can't believe it. I'm about to reuinite with my friends! And I'm sure they'll like you too but I'm so nervous! I'm glad we're finally allowed in. My heart's pounding, though...
Christine: That's a normal reaction. I feel the same way. Who knows what will happen when we walk through those doors? It's enough to make any Pokémon nervous. And waiting here won't calm those nerves. We should head inside.
Yui: Right, let's go, Christine.

The two enter through the front gate.

Yui: It's all starting to flood back to me. Through this hatch we'll reach the main part of the guild. I wonder if everyone is here.
Christine: Well, there's only one way to find out. Down the pole we go!
