The Basics

So first of all, the lives. Every character (major ones that appear more than once at least) have the ability to respawn in a place we have decided called "the norm". The "norm" is a random clearing in the forest.

Lives work similar to those in a video game. When someone dies, they can continue dying and respawning until they run out. For example, Gulvic has a default set of 30 lives. When he dies 30 times, he is sent (this is some major flippin stuff but whateva) to a place called "the rip".

The rip is the space between the void, their reality, and OUR reality (yes, there are 4th wall versions of me, drastic, doom, and dry). Spirits who have used up their lives are considered offically "dead", and are confined in a "ghost room" by Nephalimus herself (well, it WAS Neph). If the ghosts weren't confined in there, they'd be able to cause chaos in Norm, possessing and interacting with things they shouldn't and not being able to die on normal terms. Neph can control the entire rip and whether or not the door to the ghost room is opened or closed. The rip can be portaled into.

People can only be resurrected from the rip with "black magic", a very strong magic that can do nearly anything you desire by just saying (example) "black magic res Gulvic" (perhaps there are more kinds of magic :3?)

People who have been revived from the rip can have different side affects. Gulvic for example lost his memory the 3rd time, became his canon self the 2nd, and started from 2y/o Blaze the 4th time. Usually these things are resolved quickly by reminding him of the current time or simply despawning and respawning until he's aged up enough to where he is now (yes that happened). Gulvic is currently at 22/30 lives, and has diediediediediediedied (aka he's dead 7x).

In the rp universe, some things aren't explainable, such as how some things work even if they shouldn't (ex: Gulvic is able to heal Doom when they aren't blood related, Astor is able to shapeshift organic matter in herself when she has a shapeshifting Erpedo attached to her, etc.)

The 4th walls are in the "our reality" category. They're considered the "cods" or "voices" or "the 4ths" by the OCs. They can be summoned at anytime (along with any entity or OC, based off Intertwined) by saying their name three times: "GulvicGulvicGulvic", "DoomDoomDoom, "4thDoom4thDoom4thDoom", "TravisTravisTravis", etc.

The Rip:
The rip is a very... confusing place to say the least. It's the space between everything else. The rip holds every universe in existence, yet you could destroy or merge them with a single mis-click. You can control characters in the rip, you can experience their lore, you can talk to the dead, you can heal or hurt OCs, you can create your own OCs, and you can even destroy what it means to be conscious and what it means to live itself.
