The truth is out...
━━━━━━━━

It took Ha-eun a while, though she could remember everything that happened the night she was drunk. She did cause a bit of an inconvenience for Tae-moo, thinking about how she could repay him especially for handling Choi Minhyuk yesterday.

She was looking up on the internet what she could do, but writing: What to give your boss after he offered marriage to you, saved you more than once, and was involved in setting up a fake date for him.

Not ideal at all.

Though in the midst of search, she received a knock the door which was off as Joo-won would just walk inside. She hesitantly spoke, "Come inside."

She paused at the sight of Jung Jae-chan, she stood up in shock with a smile, "What are doing here?"

"Well, starting today I work here."

Ha-eun opened her mouth to say something but showed a shocked expression, "How? What happened to Han Joo-won?"

"I heard he was fired. I was offered the position through a connection."

Fired? Ha-eun wondered if this was Tae-moo doing

"Connection?" Ha-Eun leaned forward, intrigued by Jae-chan's cryptic statement. She waited, her brow furrowed in anticipation of what kind of connection he meant.

Jae-chan chuckled softly, a wry smile playing on his lips. "My grandfather knows the CEO's grandfather."

Understanding dawned on Ha-Eun's face as she processed the implications. Before she could delve further into the revelation, her phone buzzed insistently. Glancing at the screen, she saw it was Hari calling. She glanced apologetically at Jae-chan, who nodded understandingly.

"Hari, what's—"

"Young-seo set me up! AISH," Hari's voice crackled with frustration over the phone. "She wants me to meet Kang Tae-moo in disguise again to apologize for lying... since he found out."

"WHAT?!" Ha-Eun yelled, a mix of anger and concern clouding her features.

Ha-eun's sudden outburst caught Jae-chan off guard, his brows knitting together in concern as he watched her. After a brief moment, Ha-eun silently apologized with a fleeting glance before composing herself to listen intently to her sister's frustrations.

When the call finally ended, Ha-eun swiftly gathered her belongings, her movements urgent yet composed. Turning to Jae-chan with a regretful expression, she spoke softly but decisively, "Sorry, Jae-chan, but I need to go see Hari. We can talk later, okay?"

Jae-chan nodded understandingly, his concern evident in his gaze. "Anything I can do?" he offered, a hint of reassurance in his voice.

Ha-eun managed a grateful smile despite the rush. "No, thank you! See you later," she said, before hurrying out of the office, her thoughts already racing ahead to support her sister in whatever predicament had arisen.
