"I have to get that book!" exclaimed Iris, as she saw a release of the new book that she waited for all year, at the bookstore on her way home from her last day at school.
She was like any other 15-year-old girl. She had secret crushes, kept secrets, and went to the mall with her friends, and spent some of her free time on social media, binge watched pretty much all the latest shows, but she was a really big book worm. Iris began to read at the age of 5 which was a young age. She was able to read any book. She was able to do this because she had inherited the magical powers from her mother who was a witch, but sadly her mother disappeared when Iris turned 5 and Iris didn't even know that her mom had magical powers neither did her dad. Iris ran home as fast as she could as her brown hair blew in the wind.
When she got home, her dad who was home from work said, "Hello Iry!" as he hugged her and she hugged back.
" Hello, dad!" Iris replied.
"Why are you in such a rush?" Asked her dad.
"Oh, I just wanted to buy the new book that is at the bookstore! So I came to ask you if I can and to get my money," Said Iris as she went to her room looking for her money."So can I?" she asked as she peeped our of her room.
"Ok," Sighed her dad as he took out his money for her.
"Thank You, dad! Love you so much!" Iris took the money gave her dad a hug said bye and ran to the bookstore.
After she bought the book she started reading on her way home when she heard, "Iris!" she turned around to see her bestie, Lily. She had bought the same book too and was walking towards Iris.
"I can't believe that today was the last day of high school!!!" Exclaimed Lily as she gave Iris a hug.
"I know it's so sad that I have to see you next year." said Iris with a frown.
"Huh?" replied Lily with a puzzled look on her face.
Iris laughed and said "I'm just joking! Why are you taking it so seriously?"
"You got me there for a sec," said Lily as she laughed along and then she said " I was thinking that you and I should go out for some Frozen Yogurt to celebrate how you got the book and the last day of school,"
"Well...sure then let's go then!" Exclaimed Iris as she texted her dad, and as they walked to the Menchie's.

"So when are you going to talk to your crush, Jack?" Asked Lily curiously and sarcastically
"Hey! I had a crush on him in grade five! I don't have any crushes right now." Said Iris puffing out her chest, crossing her arms, and closing her eyes
"Aww, you're no fun," said Lily.
"Then how about James I saw him checking you out today at lunch," said Iris
"Really?" Said Lily blushing, then they both laughed at their stupid conversation. As time passed they both read the book together.
When Iris got home she finished reading the book and fell asleep having a great dream about the story she had just read.
