Ch.13: One Head at aTime

Okay, I kind of lied, I didn't exactly work on this story during the break but I relaxed to my heart's content... ~A

The heads moved everywhere as it attacked all four of them. Out of the seven heads, Three of these heads followed Marina while the other four followed Ocean.

Anyone notice the reoccurring number 7? Any guesses why?

"Okay which head first?" Iris asked. She still felt like something would go wrong with her magic, but she remained brave and strong for the team.

"The big ugly one that is coming towards us," Estel said. He held his sword tightly in his hand and stared at the monster. "And then one head at a time," He added

Then Iris quickly mentioned, "Wait how are you going to swing the sword in the water? I'm sure the viscosity, velocity, or whatever it is, wouldn't allow it to move properly."

"Don't worry about it, it's a magic Sword in these waters!" Marina said as she zipped past the two. Her voice sounded like a passing train when she went past them.

Just as Marina said that a head lunged towards Estel and Iris. They swam to the side as Estel swung his sword. With a quick swish, the head seemed to fall off by the slice that the sword made. He then quickly looked at Iris. They had to work fast before the number of heads doubled.

Iris took a deep breath and aimed her hands at the sliced part of the body, and just like that the magic seemed to go through her and out her hands. A flame, like jets of water hit the creature as it seemed to scream in agony.

"It's working!" Iris exclaimed. Her magic seemed to flow freely now. She barely had to think of the memories. The two of them kept going at the heads until there was one left. The ones that were already dealt with were now limp, and the remaining head was somehow struggling to stay up. With one final swing and fireball, Hydra was defeated.

"Okay, I have to say...that was Awesome!!" Marina exclaimed. She and Ocean swam back towards Iris and Estel as Hydra sank to the bottom of the reeds.

"You guys okay?" Ocean asked the other three.

Estel, with a chuckle, replied, "yeah I'm just peachy." He put his sword back in his sheath

Ocean sighed and said, " We should keep going, wouldn't want any other creatures dropping in for a visit." With agreement from the others, they continued away from the dark waters.

"How far are we from the other realm?" Estel asked as he decided to swim at the back of the group.

Marina then said, "if I'm right we're not as far from the next realm...Ocean? What do you think?"

"Yeah not far, after then dark waters, it's only mere seconds till we reach the Medieval Realm," said Ocean.

They kept swimming but then reached a rocky wall that seemed to go up and out of the water. "Here we are, this is the end of our journey," said Ocean. He turned to look at the three.

Marina smiled at Iris and Estel as they swam up to the surface of the water. Iris gasped for the air as she rose to the surface, So did Estel.

"I thank you, my good friend," Estel said to Ocean. The two of them did some bro hug and patted each other's back.

Marina looked at Iris and said, "It was definitely nice to meet you, I do wish you good luck on your journey!" The two of them hugged and turned to Ocean and Estel.

"Goodbye princess," said Ocean as he smiled at her.

Iris replied, "Goodbye Ocean, I hope to see the two of you again in the near future."

"Be careful on your way back," said Estel.

Before he swam towards the seashore Ocean said, "same to the two of you?" With a final wave, Iris and Estel went towards the seashore. Once the pear necklaces were off their formal attire and legs were back to normal. Marina and Ocean smiled and waved as they disappeared back into the depths of the water.

Iris and Estel walked away from the water and thought a small area of trees, to reveal a huge castle and it's town. It was filled with festivities, laughter, and a lot of people dressed in different attire. "Here we are Princess, the Medieval realm," said Estel as he took her hand and walked towards the village.
