PROLOGUE

That's what we did... that's what we pursued and chose.

"Kenzie, I love you..." "I love you, too, Seb."

After that, we laughed, kissed, and hugged.

I place my journal under my side table as I close it. I sighed, knowing I'd be sobbing again tonight. I should get some water, I might as well be fine after that. I'm so dumb, So dumb that I have to move on from the past.

I groaned as I walked downstairs to the kitchen; I believe everyone was sleeping. After ko uminom bumalik na ulit ako sa kwarto ko saka pinilit si self na matulog, sana all kasi nakakatulog sa lakas ng kulog.

"Arghh" inis kung bangkit as I was forcing myself to sleep, I guess di gusto ni self matulog ngayon... while I was spaced out for a minute, I remembered something.

Kaagad akong bumangon sabay hanap sa aking pinakamamahal na hoodie.

I stop when I touch the hoodie, tinitigan ko naman toh ulit saka niyakap... I miss you, Seb...

While I was thinking that, I began to cry; kaagad ko namang pinusan ang pisngi ko.

*sniff* "hahaha, wag ka ng umiyak. Di mo sya deserve, you only deserve someone who will stay for you... just like this hoodie..." just as I gaslighted myself, I felt my knees... nawawala sila ng lakas dahilan para mapaupo ako.

I ended up crying while embracing your present... imagining it was you.
