Nigel Maluge had always thought love at first sight was a myth. He had read about it in books and seen it in movies, but he never thought he would experience it himself. That was until he met Kayla.
It was a sunny day in the middle of summer, and Nigel had decided to take a break from his studies and go for a walk in the park. As he strolled along the winding paths, he spotted a woman sitting on a bench, engrossed in a book.
Nigel was drawn to her immediately. There was something about the way she held herself, the way she turned the pages of her book with such care and attention, that captivated him. He found himself walking closer and closer to her, until he was standing right in front of her.
"Excuse me," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "What book are you reading?"
The woman looked up, and Nigel's heart skipped a beat. She had the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen, the kind of eyes that seemed to see right through him.
"It's called The Nightingale," she said, holding up the book so he could see the cover.
Nigel had read the book before, and they started chatting about it, their conversation flowing as naturally as a river. He found himself telling her things he had never told anyone before, and before he knew it, they had been talking for hours.
As the sun began to set, Nigel knew that he didn't want the day to end. He asked the woman for her name, and she told him it was Kayla. He knew then that he had fallen in love with her, and he couldn't bear the thought of never seeing her again.
"Kayla," he said, taking her hand in his. "I know this may sound crazy, but I feel like I've known you forever. Would you like to go out for dinner with me?"
Kayla smiled, her eyes sparkling with warmth and affection. "I would love to," she said.
They exchanged numbers and arranged to meet later that evening at a nearby restaurant. As Nigel walked away, he knew that his life would never be the same again. He had found something special in Kayla, something that he had been searching for his whole life.
As they sat together in the restaurant, Nigel couldn't help but feel grateful for that chance encounter in the park. He had found the love of his life, and it had all started with a simple question about a book.
