This short has canonical information that I do not know how I'll add it to the story (maybe I'll mention it, but I don't think I'll make a scene of it on the Canon Timeline, so this will stay here as a short). Theories, character analyses or timelines can be made out of this short. Well, that's all I can say. Grab a snack and a drink, sit or lay down to stay comfortable and enjoy.

Stanford Pines, known as Ford, held a pair of children in his arms. His brother, Stanley, also known as Stan, was preparing some food and talking to someone through a crystal ball that glowed indigo. One of the children in Ford's arms attempted to get upsidedown, which Ford allowed. The child giggled.

"How long until the babysitter comes?" Ford asked.

"It won't be long, I know it," Stan said, finishing the call. "I made some food for us to eat on the way there. Will this be enough?"

Ford looked at the food. "Yes. Thanks, Stan."

"No worries." Stan said.

Knock knock knock. The knocks echoed from the entrance to the kitchen.

Stan snapped his fingers and the entrance door opened. A woman - light brown hair in a high bun, green eyes, pale skin, pointy ears, floral dress and no shoes on her feet - walked inside and searched for them, the door behind her shut softly as she made her way to the kitchen. She caught sight of the elder Pines and saw the two kids on Ford's arms.

"Hello, Mr. and Mr. Pines," she looked at the kids. "Awe, aren't you just little cuties?"

"Hi! I'm Dipper!" the child upsidedown said with a smile, then tilted his head. "Who are you?"

"I'm Carla," she replied. "I'm your new babysitter."

"Hi Carla! I'm Dipper- wait, I already said that," Dipper pointed at the other child. "This is my sister, Mabel! We're twins!"

"You're both adorable." Carla said.

Mabel didn't make eye contact. "T-Thanks,"

"Well, we need to go now," Ford put the two down and lowered himself to stay on their height. "Promise me you'll behave."

"We promise!" Dipper raised his pinky. "Pinky promise!"

Mabel raised her pinky as well. Ford wrapped each one of his pinkies around theirs. He pat their heads and stood up. "There's food in the fridge, candy in the cabinet," Ford got closer to Carla. "They need to sleep at least one hour, but they don't get sleepy so easy. We left instructions on a notebook, it's on the couch."

Carla smiled. "Okay, got it," she looked at the little twins. "We're going to have lots of fun today!"

Dipper raised his arms and cheered. Mabel didn't say a word, she just stared at Carla.

Ford said goodbye to the twins, they replied the goodbye and he left the kitchen, Stan looked at Carla and then lowered himself to the twins. "If she is not nice to you, you're allowed to destroy her pride." he whispered.

"How?" Mabel whispered.

"The same way you got the other babysitters to quit." Stan winked.

Dipper giggled mischievously. Mabel smiled and nod. "Okay!"

Stan stood up, he said goodbye to the twins and they replied his goodbye, he left afterwards. Carla and the twins headed to the living room, Mabel jumped (a little Pine Tree appeared on the spot she jumped off) and landed on the side of the couch, Dipper followed her (leaving a rainbow trail behind) and landed next to his sister. Carla took the remote and turned on the TV.

"Hey, Carla," Mabel asked. "What are you?"

Carla turned her head to Mabel. "You mean, my species?" she asked. Mabel nod. "I'm a Nymph,"
