They spent their time locked up in the room. Making use of the sheets between them. They didn't want to go back but they had to. Reporting back at work with their findings.

Three days after they returned. Charlotte invited her friends to dinner. Nop was heading back in a few days and well she thought it was a good idea to have both Engfa and Nop in the same room again.

To be honest. Engfa thought that there was an error to the invite, she didn't want to share space with the dude, and she wondered why Charlotte was still with him when they seemed to be making progress in their relationship. It was a stupid idea and she made sure to tell Charlotte that

Engfa had to arrive late at the dinner, thankfully Nudee saved a seat next to her. Would have sucked to seat next to Nop. "Sorry I'm late, ran into traffic." There is always traffic, but in her case it's the traffic in her head. Debating on coming or not.

"It's alright we were betting on it." Charlotte said. Going back to talk with Nop under the table.

"Well then lets order because I'm hungry."

Charlotte chuckled. "You're always hungry."

"Because you never feed me enough." Glancing over at her. Nudee knew what she was doing by saving this seat direct in line with charlotte.

The food came and they started digging in. Charlotte called the waitress and asked for chili paste. "Babe there is enough spice in the food."

"It's not for me, I don't want to hear Engfa complain about how blunt the food is." Nop frowned a little and looked over at Engfa.

"I didn't say anything." Engfa added taking the chili from the waitress before she could even set it down.

"Please you were a minute away from saying it."

"More like a second." They fell into this a lot, talking amongst themselves as if they weren't other people sitting at the table.

"You two know each other well." Nop said not missing how they both avoided looking at each other. He observed during dinner it was clear they were closer than the other.

Marima and Nudee being the good friends they are. "We all are good friends." Marima said to Nop.

"Known each other for ages, maybe that's why we ended up working together. Though Engfa and Charlotte work closely together." He nodded,

"um, well we have something to share with you." Charlotte looked over at him wondering what he wanted to share because she was in the dark. Engfa kept eating not caring about what he had to say. "Charlotte and I will be getting married."

The spoons and the chatter fell flat at the table. Before Nudee wore her fake smile and congratulated the couple. Charlotte was trying to make eye contact with Engfa as she looked frozen. She needs her to know that there wouldn't be a wedding, it was something they talked about.

"Haven't you two been dating for like a week?" Engfa asked, trying to calm herself down.

"A month actually." He gloated in her face.

"What he means is eventually." Trying to convince Engfa who was now glaring at her. She wasn't even pretending to not be upset. "P'fa"

She stood up keeping her eyes on her, Engfa didn't need to voice it out Charlotte was already behind Engfa heading to the bathroom. Once in there, they didn't even check the room to see if it was empty.

"I don't even know what to say to you?" Engfa said. Leaning on the sink and hoping she won't cry.

"We are not engaged p'fa"

She sniffed. "I'm sure that means something to you."

"Well it's not like I can rely on you to be emotionally available."

Spinning around, her eyes are glossy. "You are never going to trust me. I've been hitting on you since the day I met you." now the tears are coming and charlotte seeing this, her lip starts to quiver.

"Is that why you slept with every skirt, flirting with every single person we came across."

"None of those were serious because I was waiting for you to see Me." they hear a flash from one of the stalls and an elderly lady walks out. Standing between them to wash her hands. As soon as the lady left. Engfa took a step forward, "You have rejected me so many times that I don't know why I'm still chasing you. You've' always known that I liked you that's why you asked me to kiss you and I was dumb enough to do it."

"What do you mean?" her voice cracking

"Until you figure out what you want, don't touch me." she starts to walk out. "I'll pay for dinner on my way out." Leaving charlotte to let her words sink in. she didn't want to pressure Charlotte but her emotions were on the line and she couldn't do it anymore.

**

It was a really shitty week for them. Working together, having to be in the same space even though they appreciated it they just couldn't look at each other the same way as before. All Charlotte could see was an amazing beautiful woman who she wanted to share her time with but had to reduce her interactions because they were in an awkward place.

"Hey..." Charlotte said, walking into Engfa's office. Engfa looked up and smiled. "Are these the papers you wanted?"

"Yes,"

"I thought she had already agreed to sign the contract." Talking about a model they would like to work with.

Engfa looks at her, wondering if she should continue talking about this or bring up the elephant in the room. Deciding to go along with it. "Her manager seems to be putting ideas in her head, apparently someone told her that she's getting paid less than the others."

Handing her the papers to Engfa, she made sure her fingers brushed against her hand. And Engfa didn't react, she just got the papers and started going through them. She knew that the ball was in her court and would stay there until she does something.

"Can we talk?" She had to say something, it's now or never.

Her eyes locked with Charlotte's "I'm kind of busy at the moment."

"P'fa..."

"Charlotte I'm literary about leave for a meeting, right now is not a good time."

"Can I come over later?" Engfa looked away and nodded. At least it was something. So she left to make plans for tonight.
