Kaveh and Alhaithem had been dating for a year, and everything seemed to be going well. They were happy, in love, and had even talked about moving in together. But one day, Kaveh received news that would turn their world upside down.
Kaveh had been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, and the doctors said that he had only a few months left to live. He knew that he had to tell Alhaithem the truth, but he didn't know how. He didn't want to hurt him, but he also couldn't keep this secret from him.
One day, Kaveh asked Alhaithem to meet him at their favorite spot in the forest. They sat down on a bench, and Kaveh took a deep breath before he spoke.
"Alhaithem, there's something I need to tell you," he said, his voice shaking. "I've been diagnosed with cancer. And the doctors say that I only have a few months left to live."
Alhaithem's face turned pale, and he stood up abruptly. "What? Kaveh, that can't be true," he said, his voice trembling. "There must be something we can do. There must be some way to fight this."
Kaveh stood up as well, holding Alhaithem's hand tightly. "I'm afraid there's nothing we can do, Alhaithem. The cancer is too advanced, and it's already spread to my organs."
Alhaithem's eyes began to fill with tears, and he wrapped his arms around Kaveh's waist. "No, Kaveh. You can't leave me. You can't leave me alone."
Kaveh held him close, burying his face in Alhaithem's hair as he felt the tears welling up in his own eyes. "I'm sorry, Alhaithem. I don't want to leave you, but I don't have any other option."
The two of them stayed like that for a while, holding each other tightly as they cried. Kaveh knew that he had to make the most of the time he had left, to create as many happy memories as possible. But it was hard to stay optimistic when he knew that his days were numbered.
As the weeks passed, Kaveh's condition worsened, and he was no longer able to do the things he loved. Alhaithem was always by his side, taking care of him, holding him when he was too weak to stand. They spent most of their time cuddling on the couch, watching their favorite movies, and talking about the future that they would no longer have together.
One day, Kaveh took his last breath, with Alhaithem by his side. It was the most painful thing that Alhaithem had ever experienced. He felt as though his heart had been torn from his chest and shattered into a million pieces.
Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months, but Alhaithem could no longer find joy in anything. The only thing that kept him going was the memory of Kaveh's love, their moments together, and the knowledge that one day, they would be reunited.
