Kazuha and Scaramouche had never been close. As members of different factions in the world of Genshin Impact, their paths had rarely crossed before. But one day, as Kazuha was walking through Liyue Harbor, he saw Scaramouche sitting alone on a bench, lost in thought.
"Is everything alright?" Kazuha asked softly, approaching the bard.
Scaramouche looked up, surprised to see Kazuha of all people. "I'm fine," he replied, but Kazuha could tell that he was troubled.
They sat in silence for a few moments, until Kazuha broke the silence. "You know, even enemies can find common ground sometimes."
Scaramouche raised an eyebrow. "I don't recall us being enemies."
"Perhaps not enemies, but certainly not allies either," Kazuha said with a smile. "But who says that has to be the case?"
Scaramouche chuckled, and Kazuha felt a flutter in his chest at the sound. They continued to talk for hours, about anything and everything. It was like they had known each other for years, rather than just meeting for the first time.
As the sun set over Liyue, Kazuha stood up to leave. "It was nice talking to you," he said, turning to go.
"Wait," Scaramouche said, standing up as well. "Would you...like to do this again sometime? Maybe...over tea?"
Kazuha smiled, feeling warmth spread through him. "I would like that very much," he said, and they exchanged contact information before parting ways.
From that day on, Kazuha and Scaramouche would meet up regularly to chat and enjoy each other's company, regardless of their factions or differences. And who knows, maybe their relationship would even grow into something more.
