A knock on the door pulls Natalia's attention from the tv that she had been watching with her roommates, looking up at Sam from her position with her head in his lap.

"Who's that?"

He shrugs, causing her to look over at Daniel who does the same as he gets up. Once he pulls the door open, the twins walk in with unhappy expressions, their eyes falling on Sam.

"Shit," he mutters rubbing his hands over his face as Natalia sits up.

"We were supposed to leave an hour ago Samuel. Do you know how to answer your phone? We've been waiting for you," Jake starts, Sam barely looking at him as he speaks.

"I forgot, okay? My phone is in the other room. I just, I didn't think about it and-"

He's cut off quickly by Josh, "Mom has been calling us for an hour, dad has been calling us for an hour. Shit, Sam, Ronnie has been calling us for an hour!"

Natalia looks to Daniel, who looked just as confused, before looking to the twins, "What's happening?"

"Sam forgot our sister's birthday."

"We were supposed to leave for her birthday dinner an hour ago," Josh sighs, "and now," he says, spinning his keys around his finger, "Samuel is going to drive himself. We're not going to look like assholes because you forgot."

"What the fuck! Just give me five minutes, I can be ready!"

"You're on your own brother, see you at dinner," Jake shrugs, heading toward the door with his twin by his side.

"It was nice seeing you Peach, Daniel, we'll catch up soon!"

The door is shut soon after Josh's voice trails off. She looks over at Sam, who quickly stands up from the couch and goes to his room to change out of his sweatpants.

"Do you think they'll really be upset that he's late?" She asks Daniel, feeling like she may have been the reason he forgot.

"Well, I've never known any of them to be on time, but a birthday dinner is kind of different."

She sighs and stands up, heading to Sam's room where she walks in as he buckles the belt around his waist and picks his shirt up from the bed.

"I'm sorry," she says quietly, sitting down on the bed.

"For what Nat?" He asks, not looking at her as he pulls the shirt over his head and picks Ronnie's gift up off of his desk.

"Well I know I told you to leave your phone and hang out with us. You wouldn't have missed the calls if y-"

Her words are cut off by Sam taking a sharp turn on his heel, grabbing both sides of her head and placing a firm kiss on her forehead, "you didn't do anything wrong. I'll be back later," she didn't take his rough tone to heart, or the fact that he had cut her off, knowing that he was stressed and in a sudden rush.

"Well," she sighs, walking back into the living room after hearing the front door close, "no invite for you tonight?"

Danny shakes his head, his fingers drumming lightly at the sides of the chair he was sitting in, "I actually had plans to go to another friend's birthday party so I rainchecked. But I can stay home, I kinda forgot Sam was gonna be leaving."

"Oh no, don't skip your plans for me, I'll be perfectly fine."

"Are you sure? I probably won't be home till either super late or tomorrow."

"100%, I'll just make some dinner and lay around I'm sure. Barely any different than we were already doing," she gives him a light smile to make sure he knows that she means what she's saying. She could use the time alone anyways, she thought, not having it since she moved out of her apartment.
