"God bless her, Yoongi-ah"

Yoongi let out a small sigh as his mother wiped her tears and sniffled.

"She's such a kind person, doing so much for you. God bless her, truly."

Many things had happened in the course of the last fifteen days. After that evening when she had earnestly requested him to get the surgery, he didn't give her an answer. Instead, called a maid, told her to take care of her and left without another word.

The night fell quietly outside the window of the bus. He softly bumped his head on the front seat, sighing. He was trying so hard to make meets end after sending most of his earn to his parents, and saving a little after the end of every month. He mentally calculated the little money he had, and if he'd be able to cover the surgery expenses-

It was impossible. The surgery wasn't easy so it would cost a lot. And also, even if he was able to afford the surgery and medications, he would have to stay at the hospital for a while and the recovery period wouldn't be a short one either. How would he support his family and himself at that time?

So, the surgery was out of question. But if he didn't treat his shoulder as soon as possible, he would face some bigger problems in future. Either way, it's a mess.

With a big sigh, he thought of looking for some surgery alternatives later. But his student didn't leave him any choices.

Later that night, he got a text from her, saying that she had already made an appointment for him at one of the most renowned orthopedic hospitals in the country.

"Are you nuts?" he furiously texted back.

"Seonsaengnim, stop throwing a tantrum over text and go the the doctor. Don't think about money, I'll cover everything."

"But I don't know if I'll be able to pay you back"

"I've already told you my payback request. Get that surgery, get healthy and take me for stargazing soon."

And here he was, lying on the disinfected white sheets of the hospital bed. The soft buzzing of weird looking medical machines, people's chattering fading outside the semi-translucent glass door blended with the soft sobs of his mother-

"Eommah, stop crying now."

Yoongi said in a desperate tone. He couldn't stand all these noises. His mother wiped her tears again.

"I'm sorry, Yoongi-ah. It's just- I'm so grateful. You have been suffering for so long and-"

"It's alright eomma, don't cry now."

He said in a soft tone. Yes, he understood the pain his parents went through every single day- the pain of not being able to give their child a good life, of not being able to afford his college fees or the cost of his treatment. But it's alright, it's alright, Yoongi had made a peace with it. He never had complaints, or any regrets.

"May I come in?"

Both Yoongi and his mother looked at the door, at the seated figure on a wheelchair, silently gazing at both of them waiting for permission.

"Please, my lady, come in."

Yoongi's mother stood up in an abrupt motion. She gave her a silent bow as her caretaker, a middle-aged lady named Soorae, pushed her wheelchair inside the room.

"It's a pleasure to meet you eommonim", she said.

"The pleasure's all mine, my lady", said Yoongi's mother, earning a humm from her.
