Since Jimin and my appa both insisted that I had to look my best, I wore the black dress that appa had sent with Jimin and paired it off with my favourite black ankle boots. Jimin had helped me tie my hair into a low messy bun and left me to do my own make-up.
"Thanks for breakfast Chimmy." I said, placing a hand over the hand Jimin rested on my shoulder as he reached over me to leave the spare hairpins down on my bedside table. He insisted on helping me and surprisingly, he was good and doing hairstyles!
My hair actually behaved for a change. It was really good to have someone help me do something with my hair. Almost like having a sister or a mother, I suppose.
'Maybe he helps his mother with her hair and makeup?' I pondered privately.
"No problem Haneul. Though, I did have a feeling you would be asleep when I got here." Jimin teased me, looking at my reflectiom in the mirror. He now rested his chin on my shoulder, his cheek brushing against mine, while his arms were wrapped around me. I felt butterflies in my stomach when I lifted my eyes to see his affectionate smile meeting my own reflection.
"You got here at 6 am. Who even does that?" I countered, enjoying the banter.
"Well, forgive me for wanting to spend some time with you before you meet the rest of the guys. I know them well... We all went to law school together. They all can't wait to meet you. I'm sure you saw how Jungkook reacted yesterday! I just wanted you to myself a little longer." He exclaimed, now pouting at my reflection in the mirror.
"Awwww... you're so sweet Jimin! When did you get so sweet huh?"
"After we graduated from high school." He smiled sadly at me.
The sadness in his eyes made me feel sadder than ever before. I realised that I really had friends all along. And they looked for me. Knowing that I had no parents or family. Knowing that I needed them, they searched for me. And here I was, like a coward, hiding from my own feelings, in a tiny flat in a corner of a lower district in Seoul, working as a barista, despite having a business degree!
My headache worsened.
"Ouch... Appayo (it hurts)." I accidentally muttered out loud.
"Are you alright Jagiya?" Jimin uttered.
"Yes, yes I'm fine Jimin. I just need to take some medication really quickly and I'll be with you in a minute." I brushed him off, rushing to my handbag, then walking into the kitchen for a glass of water.
At that moment I felt smaller than usual. I realised that running away from myself wasn't working - because that's exactly what I was doing. I wasn't running away from anything or anyone else but myself.
Protecting them by forgetting is best.
But that's no longer an option now...
As if reading my thoughts, Jimin put his arms around my shoulders as he said: "Gwaenchana (It's okay) Haneul. I'm here now."
~~~♡♡♡~~~
It was now 08h00...
I was now on my way, in my best clothes, to meet my fate. Jimin had surprised me with another gift before we had left my flat. It was a beautiful gold handchain that matched my clothes perfectly.
My appa had called Jimin on his cellphone to check where he was and appa had even spoken to me. I had decided to get the formalities out of the way and go ahead with the wedding and had asked my Appa about it when he called Jimin now.
But first, I needed to officially meet my grooms.
Even my Appa knew I would have a change of heart because he had already sent me a dress, even before I knew Jimin was coming over.
