In the beginning, when only a void existed, the Assembly told She it was her turn to create a flourishing world. She accepted and promised to protect and cherish the new universe that was about to be born; she would be its protector.
And so where there was nothing, in this vast nothingness She dropped a tear in the hollow of her hands and kissed her fingertips to create the earth and its waters. She wished there would be living things on this earth and its water, but the darkness averted any life to be born. Saddened, She blew the shadows far away from the land and they became the moon and clouds. But even far away the moon still ruled darkness and the earth remained immersed in obscurity. She clapped her small hands and the loud sound became fire, a fire so big that she had to push it far away from the land so it wouldn't burn it. The two stars did not get along, where the moon was only darkness ruled and where the sun was only lightness existed. She understood that even if they were opposite they couldn't exist without the other and so She separated them and made the earth turn so it could experience both. Balance was created. After the darkness came the light and after the light came the darkness, and it would go on like this until the end of time. At that moment day and night were created, it was the first day.
She was curious about her creation and so she decided to walk the earth and swim the waters, everywhere she went life sprung, there were flowers, trees and corals. The earth became a beautiful luxuriant garden filled with colours and aromatic fragrances.
And the night came, and then the day, it was the second day. She played in the high grass for a while before feeling lonely as the sole inhabitant of this paradise. She sat down, picked up a golden flower, and used its thorns to draw three drops of her blood right onto its petals. The flower metamorphosed into a being barely taller than She. She was no longer alone. "Welcome Lilith" uttered She as Lilith was struggling to open her eyes.
The night came and then the day, it was the third day. Lilith turned to She and asked, "Are we the only ones in this paradise?", She thought for a long time about that question, and answered, "Do you want to play a game?" And Lilith nodded. "I will show you things and you need to think of how to name them". That day She created animals, birds flying in the sky and fish swimming in the sea. And for each and every one of them, she asked Lilith to give them a name. And for each and every one of them, Lilith did. "We are no longer alone in this paradise," said She before Lilith fell asleep. "Thank you" responded the little one as her eyes closed.
The night came and then the day, it was the fourth day. Lilith found a baby rabbit and asked "this rabbit was born from two other rabbits and they are its parents, where are my parents?" She thought for a long time about that question, and answered, " You are the child of the light and the daughter of darkness, they are your parents" pointing at the sun and the moon alternately. Lilith nodded before adding "What about your parents?" But She stayed silent.
The night came and then the day, it was the fifth day. The earth was a flourishing place filled with creatures of every shape and size living in harmony together. Lilith asked, "Where is the rabbit we found yesterday?" She thought for a long time about that question, and answered, "The rabbit was eaten by the wolf". Lilith stayed silent for a while, unsure how she felt, she looked around, in the distance trying to find reminiscence of that rabbit, before saying, "The wolf ate the rabbit's flesh to satisfy its hunger, but what happened to the rabbit's spirit? The wolf did not eat the rabbit's feelings nor its memories, so where did they go?" She had never thought about it before, She knelt down and with her hands gauged a little hole in the ground. She whispered some words that Lilith couldn't hear into the hole and closed it. "I created a land for the spirits where their essence will endure so that they don't disappear into the void," said She. "I shall call it Kubo, the land of the lost" added Lilith.
