The Feeling

...............yes yes guys I know I'm a horrible writer lol I am so sorry its taken me so long to get back to this story to be honest I was going through a lot over the years. I NEVER forgot about you guys tho!!!!! I will do my best to keep updating this story as much as possible and also would like thank you guys that are still reading this or just starting to read this story. Its been awhile since I was able to just sit down and write. So as promised (years ago XD) here is another chapter for you all hope you enjoy.

side note: I won't be talking about the trials too much since I think it would make for a boring chapter so just as warned in the chapter before there will be a time skip in this chapter...

Weeks Later.....

Goji's p.o.v-

"You gotta focus more kid" I said to Bryan. The weeks had gone by fast and he still wasn't any closer to being able harness any of his powers. The trials were only another week away, yet so far all Bryan had managed to do was manifest a small amount of energy. "I am focused!" he shouted back "Nothing is working." As once again the little bit of energy he managed to build up faded away. 'This isn't going how I thought it would' I said to myself. Of course for me generating energy or mana, as my father called it, was like second nature. I was taught early how to control it and feel for it, but Bryan on the other hand, didn't even know mana existed until a few weeks ago. Rock wasn't helping us either since he thinks were both not mature enough to handle ourselves in battle. So it was up to me to help him understand himself, with some extra help from Ariel as well. Bryan fatigued easily, so she watched from a distance with some of her tribes medical herbs incase he passed out or got hurt. "Goji?" he called to me from the cliff he was on, we found its easier for me to hear him when he's eye level with me. I came back from my thoughts and looked at him. "I know you keep telling me to focus but how exactly am I supposed to focus when I don't even know what I'm focusing on?". I pondered on it for a moment, he had a point and really i didn't know how to explain to him what it was he was looking for. I only know how to do it because I know how it feels- 'Thats it!' I thought to myself 'If I can explain the feeling of it maybe it'll help.' "Lets try a different approach kid". He looked at me puzzled and then said "Okay like what?". "Like this". I said right as I swung my tail into cliff he was standing on causing it to start to crumble around him.....

Bryan's P.O.V-

The cliff shattered around me and I shuddered with horror realizing I was falling. " Aaaaaaahhh!!!" I screamed as I fell with pieces of the cliff falling around me. It was a long way down and I was falling fast 'I can't believe it'. I thought to myself while falling 'he's trying to kill me!'. Just then I felt anger towards Goji for what he did and then I felt it again. The surge of energy flowing through my body and just before I hit the ground I focused it to my feet. Booom!!! That was the sound I made as I came into contact with the ground. Strangely enough I wasn't dead or even hurt for that matter. Confused I looked up at the sky only to see Goji looking down at me. Im sure he was grinning if kaiju could even do that. When the dust cleared I was able to see the crater in the ground I'd made when I landed. "I-I did it". I said out loud and looked up at Goji to see him lowering himself to where I had landed. "I DID IT!!!"I shouted to him and then the anger came back. "YOU ALMOST KILLED ME IDIOT!!". I yelled angrily at him "What if I wasn't able to focus right and-". "But you did kid You did it! you were finally able to focus your mana. I gotta say I'm impressed". He said back to me. I could tell he was thrilled about it which made me forget how upset I was in the first place. I had finally managed to pull it off, even though I could have died I felt estatic. Weeks of training and it finally paid off. I looked back at Goji "How did you know it would work though" I asked him to which he flatly stated "I didn't." Once again I was back to being angry "So you knocked me off a cliff not even knowing if I would Die or not!!!!????". If kaiju could look guilty then that's how he looked right now. "calm down Bryan i would have caught you if it didn't look like you could do it". I stared at him menacingly "sure guy I'm sure you would have". I said back to which he simply let out a grunt and stood back up to his full height. 'Man... I almost forget I'm talking to a hundred story tall giant' I thought to myself. Its true over the past weeks I'd almost gotten comfortable being around him, in a way it was like having a brother again. The thought brought images of zack and my foster family back into my mind. Being in that family it never felt like i was adopted they made me feel like I was truly one of their own and I missed them everyday..."So do you have the feeling down now? cuz its time to move on the trials are only a week away and we gotta improve ourselves more if we have any hope to pass them." He said to me snapping me out of my unhappy thoughts. "speaking of trials what exactly is it that we have to do?" I asked. We were told of the trials weeks ago but we were never given the specifics on what exactly we would be doing. "To be honest I don't really have a clue myself I don't recall anyone ever having to do any trials". Just then Rock chimed in 'That is because none have ever been as young as you two and tried to protect the world from an imminent threat'. Rock said to me and Goji. The mind link was still open just incase something were to happen during our training. "so you do still exist and here I thought maybe you were just an imaginary friend I had Thought up." I said back to him sarcastically. I could practically feel him get irritated at the statement, Goji was also amused by this and let out a slight chuckle if that's what you want to call it. Sounded more like a growl but I could tell even Rock was pleased that I had achieved my goal. "So big guy...Whats next? or were planning on stepping on me next?". I asked Goji to which he simply snorted and muttered "don't temp me kid." Then I heard Ariel call down to me from what was left of the cliff. I'd almost forgotten she was there. "Is everything alright down there? Are you injured?". Goji being closer to her responded for me "oh he's fine still kicking and screaming but fine". He said to her causing her to laugh. We ended training there for the day since Goji still had to some training of his own after all we couldn't just rely on me if we wanted to pass these trials. I followed Ariel back to her village since that's where I had been living recently. It wasn't as bad as i thought, living in the outdoors, It felt almost more homely i guess you could say. Ive always been fascinated with the outdoors and nature itself, so being on an island with her tribe has been a very interesting experience.
