The Island Pt.2

Bryans P.O.V

I walked out of the cave, the sunlight stinging my eyes. I gave myself a moment to let them get adjusted, then opened them. I looked around and my jaw dropped, I couldn't believe how amazing this island looked. The cave was on a hill that looked over the whole island. You could see where the ocean and land met. The trees were just so green I don't think I've ever seen this much green in my life. I looked to the left of the island and not to far off I could see a mountain with a hole at the top of it, I figured it was a volcano but the hole was abnormally big. "thats weird maybe its just a bigger volcano" then I thought about it erupting and shuddered. "That would suck there'd be nowhere to go" I was snapped out of the thought by ariel calling to me. "So are you just gonna stand there all day or are you gonna let me show you the island?" "Yeah right I'm coming, sorry I was uh daydreaming about something haha." I said rubbing the back of my head. " well you can day dream later, come on". With that said she started walking down the hill into the forest, I followed her closely so that I wouldn't get lost. Honestly even though the forest was amazing I still didn't want to get left, I don't know whats in this forest. For all I know one of those giant monsters could be somewhere in there just waiting to get me.

We walked for what seemed like hours, there was just so much to this island felt like I wouldn't be able to take it all in. Earlier she showed me a rainbow waterfall, it was awesome until she decided to push me in. The creatures here were pretty cool too, they weren't abnormally big or anything they just looked like regular animals. I've never seen so many deer in my life! They walk right up to you like they know you and your already friends. Now we were on our way to the weird looking mountain since according to ariel the two little people wanted to see me. "So why exactly are they waiting for me in a volcano?" I asked kinda confused but more so nervous. "Its not a volcano bryan its just a mountain with a hole in it." "Yeah a abnormally huge hole whats up with that?" "Thats because this isn't just a regular mountain. This is the mountain where Mothra lives.." I stopped in tracks, surprise and horror on my face. "WHAT!! I can't- no I don't want to be near one of those things" " For the record Mothra is a divine being not a  thing, second why not don't you want to meet the one who brought you back and saved you?". "Look ariel its not that at all I jus...I-I'm kinda afraid of those creatures. I'm sure you understand. I've been chased around by them, thats not something you just get used to overnight." Ariel looked at me sympathetically, "I understand but the shobijin said that Mothra has something very important to tell you..you must come I swear on my forefathers that mothra will not harm you. She is a very kind and gentle beast." I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, I gave it thought and figured I should still say no anyway and was about to until I looked into her eyes. Once I did that I had no control over my mouth and regretted what I said immediately. "Yea sure I'll do it" She smiled and turned around to continue down the path to the cave like mountain. I immediately started cursing at myself, 'you idiot you just signed your own death' one part of myself said to me "Yea I know but how could I possibly say no to that face you know you wouldn't have either" I said back. I realized I was talking to myself and started to shake my head. 'You have failed us all bryan' I cursed again and followed after ariel before she got to far ahead. When we got to the cave it was dark outside, but you could see a light coming from inside the cave. I gulped then walked inside, the cave was massive. So much space a baseball stadium could fit inside of it. "Hello again Mr. Bryan" I heard the two little peoples voices and looked down in front of me. "Uhm hello" I said back not really comfortable with this whole thing still. I sat down so I could see them better, Ariel sat beside me. "Did you enjoy your tour of the island?" "Yeah I did until ariel decided to push me into your waterfall" I said glaring at her, she smiled and winked at me. "glad you two are getting along so well. we would like you to excuse us for our rudeness before as we did not give you a proper introduction." Then one of them stepped forward "Hello my name is Moll ". She bowed her head and then smiled at me, then the other one stepped forward. " And I'm Lora nice to meet you". She also bowed and smiled at me. "We are known by many names but our most common one is the Shobijin. As ariel may have informed you we are closely connected with mothra. We have served mothra for decades as a intermediator between her and the people of this world." I was amazed at what they were telling me, not only were they little people but they were also gods in a way. "So you guys are like demigods right? like that percy jackson kid from the movie? Does that mean you guys have powers and can control the elements and stuff!?" I asked them excitedly. They giggled and shook their heads "No we can not control the elements" Moll said. "but we do have powers of a sort" Lora said after. I burrowed my brows in confusion "well what kind of powers do you have then?". As soon as I said this I felt something tugging at my shoe lace. I looked down to see what it was but there was nothing there. Then out of nowhere my shoe lace lifts up by its self, at the same time on the other side of my shoe, the other lace came up and started tying its self together with the other. I couldn't stop my jaw from dropping, I looked at the two little girls and saw them with heads tilted and hands together. Almost as if they were praying and then they stopped I looked down at my shoe and saw it tied together so beautifully my mother would've cried. I say this because I never tied my shoes, I don't know why but I never could bring myself to do it. Mom used to always fuss at me about it but no matter how many times I tripped and fell because of it, they always stayed untied. The Shobijin looked up at me and smiled "ok so telekinesis got it" I said to them nodding in approval. Then their faces turned serious , Lora and Moll looked at me with a sense a urgency and said" now we must tell you why we've brought you here." I changed moods and listened carefully to what they were about to say but when they finally said it everything I thought I knew about and thought was real, all faded into existence. " Theres a legend Mr. Bryan... a legend about one who will defend our world from destruction..... A legend about of a boy who is half human and half god or rather half human and half Kaiju......".
