Third Person's POV
𝚈𝚎𝚊𝚛: 2009
Lightning struck again as the girl and boy quickened their pace and stuffed the bag with clothes. They were done when the girl said.
"Bhaiya, please come with me! Don't stay! The company has agreed to my conditions!! Please!" The girl begged to his older brother.
"Choti, I can't. They will not leave me! I will back up for you while you leave! You go! If God wants we will meet again! I love you." He said kissed his sisters' forehead.
The girl hugged him and sobbed. She couldn't leave him behind. She knew they would torture him to death but she had to.
The boy also sobbed with his sister. Both of them were too young but had brave hearts. That's how they were raised, to be brave and stand up for themselves and family.
"Choti, now go! I think they will coming soon!" As soon as the boy finished they heard a knock on the door.
Their hearts started racing. The girl hid the bag under the bed and went inside the washroom. The boy opened the door.
A woman came inside with a stick. "Where's that bitch?" She asked the boy.
"Don't call her a bitch!" The boy said bravely. Suddenly he felt a pain in his skull and realized the woman was holding his hair in her hands.
She dropped him on the floor. As soon as she did that, the girl came out and immediately dropped to the woman's feet.
"Please, don't hurt him, aunt. Please!" She begged but the woman turned a deaf ear to the girl's cries.
She kicked the girl in the stomach leaving her to groan and clutch her stomach and went out of the room locking it.
The girl groaned and whimpered in pain. She stood up using the last of her energy and went to her brother.
She helped him up and made him sit on the bed. "Are you okay?" They both said at the same time and smiled a little due to this.
"I'm fine." The girl said and jumped around a little causing her brother to chuckle at her childish behavior.
"Are you okay?" The girl continued after she stopped jumping, and asked with concern.
"I'm all okay." The boy said patting the girl's head.
Both of them fished through their pockets and took something out. Looking at each other, they were confused.
So they said at the same time, "I want you to have it! Give it back, when we meet again."
The boy was too stunned to speak. In the girl's hand was a small pendant with their father's initials.
The girl's eyes watered looking at the pendant in her brother's hand with the initials of their mother.
"Bhaiya, no." She whispered. The pendant was like his ultimate source of strength.
"Bhaiya, you deserve it. Keep it. Please." She said to her brother.
"Then why are you giving my appa's pendant? You keep eomma's, I'll keep appa's. Ok? We'll exchange it when we meet next." His brother with a little smile while caressing his sister's arm.
She hugged him and kissed him on the cheek. He did the same.
"It's time. He must be here." He said and took her bag from where it was thrown earlier. He handed it to her ansmd she slung it.
He walked with her to the window. She climbed onto the window. She looked back at her brother who was standing near her.
He smiled and her with tears shimmering in his eyes. A lone tear slipped down her right cheek as she bid him goodbye.
She mouthed a quick I love you before letting herself drop on the bushes below her.
More tears applied as she fell down. She got up and ran towards the nearest wall. She climbed onto it.
She was about to get down when she heard a voice.
"WAIT!!!"
Panic-stricken, she froze. A full, deep cry rise within her dry throat. With a sudden jerk from someone she fell from the wall.
She was in someone's arms. The person ran for miles and she drifted to sleep. She rested, knowing she was safe.
But, now she has to save her brother. And she will.
