Chapter 6: Meeting The Family

Marinette's pov:

So with the Metropolis attack, Ms.Bustier figured that Lila should pick the next location for the trip since she knows the city. I wasn't gonna fall for her trap or trust her. I got lucky when Damian offered me and my friends a private tour just for us. But something was still bugging me, during the fight with Lex Luthor, I saw Dami stiffen up when Batman was there, why though? I heard a knock at the door, I quickly hid the Miracle Box under the bed. "Come in," I said.

The door opened and it was Bruce Wayne that walked in. "Mister Wayne? What's going on?" I asked.

"Marinette, I know you're that Ladybug hero," he answered, bluntly.

I was shocked, how did he know about my secret identity? I tried to tell him that he had mistaken me for Ladybug but he didn't believe me. He wanted to have me bring my friends to the living room, he said that he wanted to show us something. I was lucky that Adrien and the others were visiting the rest of us. Damian came downstairs to join us "Was this the thing you wanted to tell me about?" I whispered to Damian.

He couldn't speak, he looked like he saw a ghost. Bruce told us to show him the kwamis and so we did except for Damian. He looked like he was in trouble with his dad. Bruce then set the hands on the grandfather clock to a certain time then it opened a hole in the wall. We followed him down a staircase that led into a giant bat cave. "Whoa! You're Batman? This means that Tim's Red Robin and Damian is Robin." said Alya.

I couldn't believe it, my fiance is Robin and ShadowBat at the same time. This felt like a dream but it wasn't. There were four more heroes here too. Nightwing, Batgirl, Red Hood, and Red Robin. "Looks like your girlfriend brought some friends here Timmy," said Nightwing.

Most of us looked at Chloe, she knew the whole time that the Wayne Family is the Batfamily. "How did you find out about this, Chloe?" Adrien asked.

Chloe explained that she started piecing things together the minute Red Robin saved her before, the last time she was in Gotham with her mother. She became very close to Tim, although she never told him that she is Honey Bee. Damian somehow felt a little anxious about telling his family about him being ShadowBat. Since the bat family trusts us they shared with us their identities except for Damian and Tim. Nightwing is Richard Grayson, Red Hood is Jason Todd, and Batgirl is Barbra Gorden.

"So you guys are the mysterious heroes that have been appearing all over the place. Must admit, you guys do a good job with a Justice League-level threat," said Jason.

I didn't think Jason was half bad but he did like to tease Damian a lot. Richard is almost as flexible as me and he is a good big brother. And Barbra is amazing at combat, she could give Kagami a run for her money. I saw that Damian was trying to get away from his family "Shaytan (Demon), are you ok?" I asked.

"I'm fine Beloved. I just need some air," he answered and left.

Damian's pov:

I couldn't believe that my father knew about Marinette and the miraculous. The only reason that I didn't tell them was that I didn't want to just be seen as a sidekick. I have limitations on people to save as Robin but as ShadowBat, I feel free. No one can hold me back, I can be my kind of hero, and I can prove to my father that I can be more than a sidekick. I was so busy swimming in my thoughts that I didn't hear the sounds of a certain clown prince hitting my head when a crowbar.

I woke up in pain when I tried to get up, I felt ropes around my body. 'Oh great. Not now.' I thought. Goliath peeked out of my pocket then bite the ropes clean off. "Thanks, Goliath. Now to get out of here." I said.

I was lucky that I know where the vents are in Joker's hideout. I saw one of the entrances to the vents but it was blocked by Joker's hyenas who are sleeping. I quietly sneaked passed them then I had Goliath open the vent and crawled in. "Now that we're in the clear. Time to transform. Goliath, Screech." I said and became ShadowBat.

Chloe's pov:

Something felt off, Damian said he was going out for some air but that was over 15 minutes ago, and Marinette was getting worried. I asked Tim to help me locate Damian and bring him home. Bruce always made sure that his boys add trackers on them just in case they were kidnapped. Tim found him, but he was in Joker's hideout. "We need to leave, now!" Tim ordered.

I transformed into Honey Bee and followed Red Robin to Joker's hideout. I felt like someone was watching me so the second I heard a sound I used my spinning top to hit it but it was Cat Noir. "Cat Noir? What have I told you about sneaking up on me?!" I shouted.

"Easy there Queenie. I was coming along to help. Honestly, how tough can a clown be? We've faced scarier things." Cat Noir gloated.
Ie met the Joker went he kidnapped me, the man is a lunatic and loves to torment people for fun. Of course, Cat Noir doesn't listen and goes ahead of us. This was going to end up bad one way or another. We got to Joker's hideout but Batman was already there and so were Ladybug and Batgirl "What took you three so long?" Batgirl said, smugly.

"Well we would have been here sooner but someone thought that Joker would be easy to handle," I said while glaring at Cat Noir.

We heard the sounds of Joker's crazy laugh and followed it inside. However, once we snuck in we also saw someone familiar with him, Reflekta. This is bad, Juleka must have been akumatised again to be Reflekta. "Who's the crazy clown with the crazy look?" Batgirl asked.

"That's Refleka. Be careful, if she hits you with her beam then they'll turn into a copycat of her. Cat Noir and I will handle her, you guys deal with Joker." Ladybug ordered.

Damian had already transformed into ShadowBat and was fighting the Joker. Batman and Red Robin help him while Batgirl helped us with Reflexta since Cat Noir got hit with her beam again. Joker was stopped and Reflexta is back to normal and so is everyone else. Cat Noir took Juleka back to the rest of the group and the GPD took Joker to Arkum. ShadowBat was about to leave but Batman stopped him.

"You are coming with us ShadowBat. I need to speak with you." Batman said.

Damian's pov:

I'm in so much trouble. Father is going to find out that I'm ShadowBat and that I've been going behind his back for over two years. The minute we got back to the cave, Fatherr asked me to reveal my identity. I didn't want to but I can't disobey my father so I said the detransformation words and revealed myself. "Demon Spawn is the ShadowBat?" said Todd.

I was so nervous, I thought my father was going to make me give up being ShadowBat since I'm already Robin. But he didn't, he told me that he was proud of me after handling Joker tonight. "So he's not punished'causee I'd like to see the little brat getting punished," said Todd.

My beloved had about enough with Todd and slapped him to get him to be quiet. 'I love when she becomes a fighter.' I thought. Now the time came for the big news. "There's one more thing I need to tell you, Father," I said.

I held Marinette's hand as my brothers gasped. I told them that Marinette is my fiance and she was my old partner from the League. The look on Drake and Todd's faces was priceless. Gorden was just smiling and Grayson just wrapped me in a tight hug. "My little brother has a girlfriend!" he screamed. "Grayson, unhand me!" I ordered but he didn't even listen.
