EARLY LIFE. clara knight was born in london to a french father and an english-greek mother. knight's father is a chef, and her mother is a hairdresser. knight completed her high school diploma in london, studied the arts (acting) at the university of london, and subsequently graduated from the university. she currently lives in london with her husband and fellow musician, harry edward styles (m. 2019–present), and while they have respectively owned their own glamorous homes over the years [LINK TO THE FULL LIST], they have sold them, and now own a london home, as well as a property in los angeles.
CAREER. in 2013, clara began her professional career at the age of 18, when she starred as the lead role of lily lawson in the 2013 film adaptation of the romance novel then came you by lisa kleypass (1993). winning a critics' choice award for 'best lead actress' in the same year, knight would quickly skyrocket to fame, and consequently, book several more notable film and television roles [SEE FULL AWARDS LIST].
in 2016, knight landed a feature role in the netflix horror-drama tv show, stranger things, as stella williams, although her character was killed off the show at the end of the second season in a heartbreaking scene, in which her character sacrificed herself for the lead female character, eleven.
2017 marked the beginning of clara's music career, with knight releasing her 11-track debut studio album overanalysing on the 2nd of march. she would then feature on her first musical collaboration with the song ever since new york, track 8 on harry styles' debut self-titled studio album, co-written by knight and styles, just three months later. this collaboration seemed to have open many doors for knight in the music industry, as she featured on and co-wrote taylor swift's gorgeous, track 8 in swift's controversial sixth studio album reputation, later the same year.
