chapter 3 Calm before the storm

Shanoya parked the truck in the garage then started to unpack the ingredients in the back. Spirit ran in and took a few things from the truck.

"Welcome home sis."

She smiled

"I'm home."

After finished unpacking and finished eating their dinner shanoya looked at the time on her watch.

"Spirit are the doors and windows locked?"

"Yes. Is something wrong?"

"Let's head to father and mother's room."

Hearing that spirit looked at her seriously.

"I'll be there in 10 minutes, I'll clean up here."

Shanoya got up and went upstairs to the room on her right. She sat at the table then took out the book and clear phone and placed them on the table.

She pressed a red button under the table and a window appeared in front of her. It glowed blue then small squares appeared on it.

She touched a square with a phone symbol on it. It started ringing, a minutes later, Nathan's figure appeared on it. Spirit walked in the room and sat on the bed.

"I send the files to you. You were right to watch the visitors because it hasn't even bin long since your orders and I got a video of what they did at the border of our turff."

Nathan said as he pressed a button then another window appeared with a video playing. In the video showed a man walking strangely and bumping into the light post. A passersby saw and tried to talk with the man but was attacked and bitten on the arm.

Two players appeared from an alley then stabbed the man in the head, the man fell and died on the spot. The passersby thanked the men while holding his hand but was then stabbed too by the second player.

The players took the bodies and went back into the alley and disappeared.

Both shanoya and spirit were shocked from it. Shanoya griped her hands into fist tightly as sweat rolled down her face.

"How long has this bin going on and how many people have bin going missing since then."

Nathan started typing and 3 more windows appeared with different information on them.

"These things started appearing 3 months ago in the night and they started to increase over time. A week ago, at least 2-3 started appeared in the day but were killed before they are spotted.

As for the people that encountered these things and were bitten, all of them are dead and some of them are said to went traveling or just couldn't be founded.

But either way, the villagers are getting suspicious of the visitors and the other 5 clans are also doing their own research on this. Especially since all the clan leaders parents or guardian's went missing around the time your parents did."

Surprised, spirit ran to shanoya's side and asked.

"What do you mean Nathan?"

"When your parents disappeared all the other leaders, guardian's and parents started disappearing one after the other and everyone find that this is no coincidence. With the players appearing and the guardian's gone along with people going missing, everyone is on their toes."

The room was silent for a while, shanoya was unsure what to do due to her not being a good leader to her clans men and what is the right action to do.

Nathan notice shanoya's face that was full of sweat and her shaky eyes.

"Shanoya. The others understand that you needed time to yourself ever since your parents disappearance. No one's blaming you for not being a good leader. In life there are no perfect beans, everyone makes mistakes and need time for themselves. Just give the orders and we'll follow it, it doesn't have to be a perfect order just one that you think is right."

Shanoya thinked hard on what Nathan said then smiled and wiped away her sweat with her sleeves.

"You always know what I'm thinking."

"Naw. Your face is just like an open book."

Shanoya was dumb founded but she smiled.

"I can't deny that. Now down to work, did you get any news about any parents?"

"Yes, blue berry said she asked her older brother about the visitors and knowing her brother can't keep secrets, he's bin acting strange since, should we investigate more on his actions."

"No this is enough evidence that the other adults knows something. Tell the others to continue what their doing and also keep an eye on the other clans.

"OK. Then I'll inform you of any other news"

"Okay."

As they were about to sign off spirit stop them then asked.

"What about the people that are dead. I know the villagers are suspicious of the disappearance but have they not once put in an investigation on it?"

Nathan looked at spirit's worried face then looked down as he typed away.

"Its true that the villagers are suspicious of the players and the disappearance of some of the villagers, but them not putting in an investigation and blue berry's Brother strange action shows that the village people know whats going on but wish not to take action, we don't know why yet but we'll find out soon."

Hearing that, spirit frowned but he could do nothing.

"If nothing else, good night."

Behind Nathan at the small open of the door a shadow swiftly passed by, shanoya looked closely and saw nothing then just shrugged the thought aside.

The windows disappeared, she turned to look at spirit's face, it was very gloomy.

"Do you think the adults know what happened to our parents?"

Spirit asked as he stared at shanoya.

"Yes, I believe they do know what happen to our parents and whats occurring in our village but showed ignorance to it."

"Mmm."

Spirit hummed it with a sadden expression. Shanoya sighed and walked over to him and pad his head.

"Hey cheer up. Them knowing our parents whereabout means they are still a live and out side the village, we'll get to see them again."

She smiled at him, seeing his sister's smile he smiled back and hugged her.

"Okey. I'll believe in your words."

She hugged him back as she looked at the painting over the bed head.
