"Jenova?" Cathy squeaked out.

Everything was so dark. She looked around. She was in a playplace of sorts. It looked familiar, but she just couldn't put her finger on it. "Jenova?..." Cathy mumbled again, feeling herself getting more scared as the seconds passed.

"..."

After minutes of nobody responding to her, Cathy moved forward a bit. She felt around, trying to find a wall. After it seemed like hours had passed, she finally found a wall. She felt herself exhale a little, feeling a bit more safe since she had found a wall. She started moving along it, keeping her hand on it. Maybe, just maybe she would come across a lightswitch.

Cathy felt like she was going to cry. She had been alone in the dark for what felt like hours. There were no other sounds except for her footsteps, and her breathing. It felt..... unsettling to be alone here.

Her hand brushed across something.

She perked up, and started desperately moving her hand all over it.

After the fifth try, she heard a click. A second later, lights switched on. She felt extremely happy that she finally could see. The first thing that came to mind was to check her watch.

What?

She looked up. The room was filled with toys, and playing equipment. It looked very familiar. And it wasn't big. This confused Cathy. It felt like she had been walking down a hallway for hours. But then again, this world made no sense, so that could be normal. She looked around the room, looking for anything that could be of use to her.

She noticed a little paper on a desk, with scribbles from a crayon all over it. She moved towards it, and looked at it. It looked like something a kid would draw.

"...?"

Suddenly, a light went off in her head.

She made this when she was a kid.

Suddenly, she heard the laughter of children. Feeling alarmed, Cathy looked up. There were strange, ghostly figures of children running around and playing on the equipment and with the toys. She remembered most of them. Then, one particular kid caught her eye.

It was her when she was a child.

She was sitting alone under a desk, coloring. Cathy remembered how she would always draw under there, since she liked being under tables when she was a kid.

"..."

Cathy moved a bit towards the table, and leaned down so she could see her younger self a bit better. The younger version suddenly looked up, confused. They looked each other in the eyes.

"...Hi...." Cathy mumbled. "Hi?" her younger self said.

Cathy sat down. "What are you making?" she asked. The smaller version of her stared at her for a few more seconds, then pushed one of the papers near her. Cathy picked it up, and looked at it.

"This... is interesting..." Cathy said. She never drew anything like this. 'I have a really bad feeling about this....' Cathy thought to herself.. She looked up, and the younger version of her was gone. The ghostly figures of the other children were also gone. The room was now just devoid of sound, except for her breathing. Cathy felt like something was extremely off. She looked back down at the paper.

Cathy's eyes widened, and her breathing quickened. She quickly stood up, dropping the paper. "W-what?" She instantly went to 'There's a monster in here, and it's coming after me.' She noticed the children were gone.

"Oh my god.. oh my god..." she gasped. She felt like she was about to have a panic attack.

She heard a door creak open.

She spun her head towards the source of the noise. There was a young woman in a fancy dress and a skin mask, holding an ax. Cathy gasped, and went pale, starting to back up. The woman started walking towards her, picking up speed, raising the weapon over her head. Millions of voices were screaming in Cathy's head, all saying one thing.

'RUN!'

Cathy spun around, and took off running. The room had stretched out, and she could see a door at the end. She didn't pause to question how it had become longer, and ran down the hallway. She could hear the footsteps of the woman catching up behind her.

"Nonononono..." Cathy kept repeating, as she practically hyperventilated. She was not going to die in a clichè movie way - by a killer with an ax.

Her head started spinning, as she was running out of oxygen.

'Almost.... there...'

She opened the door, and suddenly, fell into the void.
