So the AMVCA's was no different. You decided that going was really going to help you widen your horizon. This was going to be your first AMVCA ever and if all goes well, it surely won't be your last.
For your dress, you decided to bring out the big guns by requesting a custom made dress from the one and only Atafo. Your bank account was crying but you knew it will be worth it in the end.
Burna was very excited for you. He loved seeing you happy for these things even though he believed that you shouldn't have to stress yourself since you're dating him. Proud bastard.
He let you talk his ear off about your dress and the event. Basically everything.
The event was to start at 8pm so you decided to call in hair and makeup by 6. Your dress, thankfully, wasn't so hard to get into so that wasn't going to be a problem.
You were done by some minutes to eight and decided to take some photoshoot pictures. Your yellow brimstone shimmering under the stage light. Omo, you were ready for them this year.
You and your team started getting ready to leave when Burna walked in and gave you a wide smile.
"Iyawo( wife), you look glorious." He said as he gave your forehead a kiss. "Go and kill them." He was obviously very proud of you. He's your biggest supporter. After kissing him goodbye, you all went on your way.
The event was a huge success. Your favourites winning different categories. You even met one of your teen crush that year. Timini Egbuson. The both of you talked and enjoyed yourself. You even took pictures. You could not wait to tell Burna.
Once getting home, you were exhausted as fuck. It was already some minutes after 1. You got to the living room and saw Burna there with a hard expression on his face. Who pissed this one off now?
"Damini, what's wrong?" You asked as you sat down beside him.
"Look at the time." He said, not taking his eyes of his phone screen.
"I know I'm late, I just got caught up in the whole moment." You smiled reminiscing the whole event. Suddenly, Burna got up and started heading upstairs. You, being confused, followed.
"What's wrong na?" You asked as you both enter the bedroom.
"What's wrong is that you let that small boy touch you, laugh with you. He even kissed you on your cheek." He seethed. You were beyond confused as to who he was talking about.
"Who are you talking about?" You asked softly. You hated when he gets like this.
"Is it not Timini." You finally understood what was happening. He was jealous.
"Are you jealous?" You asked smirking.
"Of course na. How e go dey follow you like that."
"Babe, what we had was strictly a friendly encounter. Believe me. There's no need to be jealous. I only have eyes for you." You placed your hands on his face.
"You sure so?" He asked.
"Yes na." You replied smiling.
"I don ready to go beat am sef." You started laughing.
"Oya come, let's take a shower." You said holding out your hand to him.
"Na these kain things I like hear." He said taking your hand quickly and rushing to the showers.
