You and Burna thought you were ready for this. Oh, you dead wrong.
You didn't know having a baby entails this. You don't even remember the last time you had a good night's rest.
And Burna is even worse. Using his work as an excuse. Tell you he is too busy to handle your kid. Like you didn't have a job too.
Tonight you decided you have had enough. You wanted to sleep. You wanted a good 8 hours of sleep without crying. So you decided whenever the baby cries, Burna would be the one to take care of her until she falls asleep.
After taking a bath, you walked into the bedroom seeing Burna already on his phone. You went straight to the bed to lay down.
As promised, your baby did not disappoint. She cried so loud. You felt a little shake and woke up.
"The baby's crying. Go see what's wrong." Burna said nonchalantly.
"I'm tired. I think you should go check. You haven't done it once in your life before." You counter back, cuddling your blanket closer to yourself.
"You're her mother. Na me suppose dey change pampers before?" He asked obviously annoyed.
"See ehh, I don't care. Its your baby too. Go and check on her."
"What is all this? If I knew you would behave like this I for just tell you make you comot the belle sef." He grumbled out. What he said obviously grabbed your attention. You were shocked. You turned to him. Making sure he was serious.
"You know what? Its fine. I'll go check on her and me and her will be out of your hair. We won't bother you again." You threw the blanket of and walked towards your baby's cot and picked her up. Rubbing her back soothingly and singing softly.
"I didn't mean it like that na." Burna says getting up and walking towards you but you step back giving you some distance. "Please. I didn't mean it like that. I'm sorry." You still didn't answer him. Infact you walked out the door with your baby in your hands straight to the nursery. You won't sleep with him tonight. You'd rather sleep on the couch.
