Avneet sighed and turned off the TV, for instead of distracting her, it disturbed her even more.
"You need rest to get over yourself" Avan side-hugged her. She smiled sadly.
"I know, but I'm worried about Siddharth. To people, he may be a cold-hearted businessman, but I know him. He's like a scared child from the inside. He can't live on his own for a second. He loses his temper now and then if he doesn't see me around. Last night, he hurt himself, and his protectiveness and his insanity scare me. I know he's in bad shape, but he has to learn to live by himself."
She shut her eyes while tears flowed down her cheeks.
"Hey! Don't cry. You look like those creepy Brad dolls while crying. "
Avneet chuckled and wiped her tears.
"How was your date with Sara? "
Avan's chin wobbled as he settled himself on the couch comfortably crossing his legs.
"Why are you adding insult to injury? First, I forgot our date and then I got stuck in the traffic and when I got there she was fuming in anger. I gave her flowers to cheer her up but she got mad and said not to speak to her again."
Avan facepalms thinking profoundly.
"But why did she get mad at you for getting her flowers?
You must have done something. "
Avneet narrowed her eyes and pointed a finger at him.
"I swear I didn't do anything wrong but the little girl I borrowed the flowers from snatched her flowers away from Sara and she even pulled her hair but what's my fault in this?"
Avan looked at Avneet with a crybaby face while she laughed her head off.
"You stole the flowers from a kid "
she managed to say between her laughter.
"No, I didn't steal. I just borrowed them. I didn't know she would do anything like this. I hate kids for this"
