Time skipped, the day of summer break


   Summer break has finally arrived and Felix couldn’t be happier. He was happy the fact that it was finally the time to just relax and also to spend time with his best friend. But somehow, he was also feeling lonely since his parents won’t be around during the break as they were overseas for business.

   On the morning of the first day of summer break, Felix woke up with a faint ray of sunlight that lightly lit up his room. He yawned and stretched before getting up to pull the curtains. Felix squinted his eyes as the sunlight hit him but then he was met with the sight of the streets. It was busy as always, Felix thought.

   Felix lazily took his towel to get a shower. After he was done, he went out of his room and was met with an empty space. He sighed as he walked over to the kitchen to fix on something to eat. “Let’s see what we have.” Felix said to himself as he opened the refrigerator, only to be met with an almost empty fridge.

   “Are you kidding me?” Felix took his leftover sandwich and slammed the refrigerator. He then reheated his meal and plopped himself onto the couch, then mindlessly scrolled through his phone.

   Felix spent his morning scrolling through his phone, when he found himself bored he watched some shows on the television. When it was almost lunch time, Felix was about to get up to change but then his phone rang. He checked the caller id, it was Hannah.

   After a few rings, he picked up the phone.

“Hey Hannah, what’s up?”
“Hi Felix, just wanted to ask you if you’re free right now?”
“Yeah I am! What’s wrong? Is everything okay?”
“Yeah everything’s fine! Just wanted to tell you to open the door.”
“Open the door? Wha-“

   Before Felix could continue he heard the doorbell ringing and he ran to the door. “Open the door fucker! You’re so slow!” Felix could hear Hannah shouting from the other side. “Shut up bitch I’m coming!” Felix yelled back and he yanked the door open.

   “What the hell Hannah? My neighbours are gonna report me!” Felix panted and Hannah just laughed. “That’s not important. What’s more important now is that you go get a change of clothes and follow me.” Hannah said which made Felix clueless.

   “Where are we going? Don’t tell me-“ Felix widen his eyes as he dramatically hugged himself. “You’re gonna sell me away?!” Hannah smacked his head and Felix let out a small yelp. “Yeah right I’m gonna sell you to the mafia and let them feed you to the dogs….. No, I want you to follow me to somewhere!” Hannah gave Felix an eye roll which made Felix laugh.

   “I know you wouldn’t that, you love me too much!” Felix smiled. “Anyways, where are we going?” Felix asked and Hannah cleared her throat. “We are going to the airport, to get my brother. Right now!” Hannah said with a straight face.

   Before Hannah could say anything, Felix slammed the door and ran to his room, swiftly put on a t-shirt with a pair of ripped jeans. He looked at the mirror to check himself out, slightly did his hair to be more presentable as he wanted to make a good impression.

   Felix took his belongings and zoomed across the living room and to the door. “Okay I’m ready!” Felix exclaimed. “Oh that was quick. Let’s go!” Hannah grabbed Felix’s hand and ran towards her parent’s car as they drove to the airport.

   Once they’ve reached the airport, Hannah and Felix followed her parents as they searched for the gate. As they were getting nearer and nearer, Felix could feel his heartbeat getting faster every second. He couldn’t explain the feeling, was it excitement or was it fear, he doesn’t have a clue.

   Felix was so into his thoughts he didn’t hear what was going on around his surroundings. His thoughts were cut off as he heard Hannah running towards someone. Felix looked up and saw Hannah hugging someone, a guy.

   “I missed you so much!” He heard Hannah said. As Hannah slowly let go of the hug, he saw him. Christopher, or Chan hyung where he used to call him when Felix was little standing right there. He has grown up so much, Felix thought.

   Felix was in a daze, he couldn’t believe his eyes. Standing in front of him was his favourite hyung where he hadn’t seen for 6 long years. He saw him smiling at him, oh how he missed that dimpled smile. And before Felix realised, something in him was awaken.


   As what Hyunjin said, the gay in him has awaken.
