Students flooded the hallways as the last bell of the day rang. Murmurs of the students could be heard like “finally it’s the end of the day” “I’m exhausted” or “my last class was boring as hell”.
Felix gathered all his belongings and headed straight to his locker. He had his head down throughout the way to his locker and the moment he held his head up, Felix happily skipped over to his group of friends who was leaning against the lockers.
“Hey Lix!” One of the boys waved at him as he saw Felix. “Hi Hyunjin and Seungmin!” Felix beamed as he opened his locker. “What took you so long? You’re slow as hell!” Seungmin, who was leaning onto the lockers complained. “Don’t be an ass Seung, it’s always his fav teacher’s class when he comes out late.” Hyunjin joked as he lightly punched Seungmin’s shoulder.
“Mrs Johnson is not my favourite teacher! She always let us out late AND I hate maths.” Felix exclaimed as he closed his locker. “By the way, have yall seen Hannah?” Felix looked at both the boys and Seungmin shrugged. “Haven’t seen her yet, she’s probably at the gates.” Felix nodded as the group walked towards the exit.
The boys were just talking about school stuffs and nonsense which mostly Hyunjin and Seungmin were talking about. Felix couldn’t help but laugh at them. They were being total idiots but Felix adored them, they have known each other ever since primary school which explains their bond.
While they approaching the gates, Hyunjin turned and he was facing them while walking. “Oh yeah, summer break is coming. Do you guys have any plans for he break?” He asked as Felix shrugged and Seungmin stroking his invisible beard, trying to think of something.
“Hmm….. Right! My family and I are going to Japan, can’t wait! What about you?” Seungmin looked at Hyunjin then to Felix. “Not much, just gonna stay home and draw all day everyday.” Hyunjin sighed which made Seungmin do a ‘are you being serious?’ face. “Oh gosh that’s boringgg. Don’t you have anything else to do except drawing?” Seungmin then turned to Felix. “Please tell me you have a better answer Felix.”
Felix chuckled. “Well, since my parents won’t be home for some time, I’m gonna be at home most of the time…..gaming.” Seungmin let out a groan as he rubbed his face. “I swear to God yall really….. I have no words to say.” Hyunjin and Felix laughed at Seungmin’s reaction and as they’re closer to the school gates, Felix saw Hannah standing alone while looking at her phone.
“Guys I got to go! See yall tomorrow.” Felix waved at them and the boys nodded. “See ya Lix!” They waved back as the boys went to their separate ways.
Felix then slowly approached Hannah as quiet as he could be. “BOO!” Felix yelled as he grabbed her shoulders. Hannah turned to him and shook her head. “Didn’t scare me, try harder next time will ya?” Felix pouted and crossed his arms. “I could never scare you! Ugh.” Hannah laughed and so did Felix.
“I don’t get scared that easily, unlike someone.” Hannah teased and Felix rolled his eyes while giving her a light punch on her back. “Stop it!” Hannah giggled then she straighten her posture and cleared her throat. “I can’t believe summer break is in three days! Finally no school for two months!” Hannah put both her hands up.
“Any plans for the summer?” Felix asked which made Hannah gasp. “Hold up! I forgot to tell you something. About my plans for the summer-“ Hannah paused for a moment, Felix could see that she was holding in her excitement. “Did I mentioned about my brother who’s coming home for the summer break?”
Wait, hold up. Who? Her brother? Coming back to Australia for the rest of the summer break? Her older brother who haven’t came home for God knows how many years now. Technically it's been 6 years since he left.
After so long, he’s finally back?

“Felix? Lee Yongbok are you there? Are you dead?” Hannah waved her hands in front of Felix’s eyes as he snapped back to reality. “Hmm? What? I’m listening.” Felix cleared his throat and chucked nervously.
“Did you listen to what I’ve said? My older brother, Chris is coming back to spend the summer with us.” Hannah explained. “And also if you don’t mind, my parents want you to come over to spend the break with us. If you want that is.”
Oh Felix would love to spend the summer break with his best friend since he would be lonely at home. And Hannah’s parents are like his second parents since both families have known each other since Felix and Hannah were 5.
“Soooo what do you think?” Hannah wiggled her eyebrows which made Felix rolled his eyes. “Sounds fun! I’m in!” Hannah did a happy victory dance. “Hell yes! I’m sure Chris would be happy to see you again.” Hannah mentioned as she skipped ahead of Felix.
