Chapter 16

(A/N: I edited chapter 15 because I had few mistakes in there. Please make sure to read it carefully to not get confused.)

I took a sharp breath. "Take me! I'll replace her."

Alibaba's jaw dropped. "Are you out of your mind, Amira!?"

"Amira..Please don't." Aladdin paled.

Morgiana was going to take a step forward to me but Hakuryuu stopped her, "Let her."

"Amira, such a nice name. Instead of I chasing you, I'll let YOU chase after me." The Djinn's branches moved around to create a path.

I directed my attention away from the protesting three to the looks-like-Djinn-was-too-lazy-to-properly-make-it path.

While they were making a big deal, I had my turtle quietly crawl up and hide in my dress. It was tiny, so it couldn't be easily spotted.

"See you later." I ran straight to the dark way.

"Mayleen?"

There was a lady with a ripped dress and scars playing with rocks. Mayleen turned her head so fast at my voice.

It has been years since she has seen a human..

She took a step back, shivering.

"It's fine.. I won't hurt you. I'll rescue you, okay?" I talked to her slowly, hoping she'd understand me.

She hesitated, then nodded.

"Here! You have me! Take her out." I screamed out.

Djinn smirked, "Gladly."

Mayleen was absolutely bewildered.

The arms of the trees grabbed her body. It was like...All again.. She shook her head violently, crying while she pressed her nails to the ground.

In a blink, the branches threw her out of her prison to where the others where, not caring if she would get hurt.

"Hey! I'd appreciate if you did that gently."

"What's done is done." The djinn smoothly replied.

The shrill scream of the lady got Hakuryuu's attention.

"Alibaba-dono, Morgiana-dono, please help Amira-dono out. I'm going to take her back."

Hakuryuu quickly caught Mayleen with fast reflexes and ran to the exit, kicking with his spear every obstacles.

He was heading to the town.

"Ohmygod!! Ohmygod!!" I began to panic as an army of ants walked to me.

I crawled up to the roof of the prison....

And I saw a

BEEHIVE,

BESIDE MY FACE.

Okay, Amira. Don't scream. Don't. Scream. Don't. Scream.

The bees continued working, not minding me 20 centimetres away.

It hasn't even been 10 minutes and I'm screaming in fear. How did Mayleen survive this?

Wait... When she turned her back to dig her nails to the ground, there were old and new bee stings and scars...

I looked again at the ants now crawling up the branches.

"Kyaaaaaaaa!"

"AMIRA?!" Morgiana yelled as she heard her scream.

"Aaah, humans are always over-reacting. It's just an harmless beehive and a group of ants." The Djinn scoffed. "One of the million reasons why I hate them. Ningens Daikirai!"

"Amira-onee-san..!"

"Aladdin," Alibaba put his hand on his shoulder, "She's Amira. She won't give up easily." The blonde looked up,

"Though..The real question is, which something we haven't thought about at all.."

"How can he control Zagan's power?" Morgiana continued.
