After the initial shock from Delilah's discovery about Stefan, she decided that she had to confirm if it was true. And the only way to do so was talking to Stefan. It was starting to get dark outside when she parked her car next to Stefan's house and got out, rushing towards the door. The girl knocked and waited patiently for Stefan to open the door. She was nervous, what if he really was a vampire? She had no idea what to expect. Once Stefan opened the door, he noticed straight away something was different with Delilah. "What are you?""You know." He said softly, almost as if he saw it coming right when he opened the door.
"No, I don't." She insisted, taking a step back.
"Yes, you do, or you wouldn't be here." Stefan got out of the house, which made Delilah take several steps back, trying to desperately keep her distance
"It's not possible." Delilah has tried to convince herself it was all a mistake, that there was some sort of explanation. And yet there was Stefan, confirming her suspicions.
"Everything you know and every belief you have is about to change. Are you ready for that?" Of course she wasn't ready for that, how could she? Her life wasn't easy but at least it was normal. But supernatural beings? That was a whole new world.
"I'm a vampire.""I shouldn't have come." She turned around and started walking towards her car.
"No, Delilah, please, don't go!" The girl kept walking towards her car, but Stefan stopped her, getting in front of her with a quick move.
"How did you do that?"
"There's things you need to know." Stefan tried to put his hands on her arms but she stopped him, pushing him away.
"Let me go!" Delilah ran towards her car, and Stefan let her. She drove home quickly, definitely passing the speed limit. Once she got home, she rushed towards her bedroom and laid down on her bed, her heart racing fast. Delilah was feeling agitated, she couldn't stop thinking about what she found out, so she got up and started pacing around, trying to calm down.
"Delilah." Stefan had gotten in her bedroom through her window and when the girl heard him she tried to run out of the the bedroom, but he closed the door, stoping her."I would never hurt you. You're safe with me."
"All those animals attacks, those people who died ?" She turned to look at him, still shaken up.
"No, that was Damon. I don't drink human blood. That's not how I choose to survive, but Damon does. I'll explain everything to you, but I beg you do not tell anybody."
"How can you ask me that?" She didn't know if she wanted to tell someone but she wanted to have that choice.
"Because you knowing this is dangerous for so many reasons. You can hate me, but I need you to trust me." He begged, his hand still on the door.
"Go, just go. Please ? If you mean me no harm, then you'll go." The hurt was clear on Stefan's eyes. He didn't want Delilah to find out. Not like that.
"I never wanted this." After those four words, he left. Not because he wanted to, but because she asked him to. And he would do anything she asked him to.

Delilah didn't sleep all night. There were all these thoughts running through her head, so instead, she looked up everything there was about vampires on the Internet. But that wasn't enough. Once she was calmer, she realized she had to go straight to the source to find out more. And that was Stefan. They met on public, somewhere she knew he couldn't hurt her. "You said you would explain everything. That's why I asked you to meet me here. When you Google «Vampire» you get a world of fiction. What's reality?"
