You jumped up as you heard a loud bang, almost like a door being kicked open. You looked at Marvin, whose eyes were wide.

You got up and drew your gun, slowly making your way down the stairs. "Shit!" you gasped, turning on your heel and rushing upstairs. You ran to Marvin, and you removed the restraints as fast as you could.

You lifted him up by grabbing his hand.

"Do you have an extra gun?" You raised a brow

"No, I have one in my pocket." His eyes widened as he cast a downward glance. "You took my gun!" You quickly silenced him.

"I'm sorry, but look, we have no option. I need you to look outside." Marvin looked around you while his mouth was open. You looked back outside as you turned your head.

A sizable group of Lycans were present.

"So um." Marvin started, "It's (Y/n)." You gave a slight smile. Even though you didn't trust him, you needed Marvin, and it seemed as though he needed you too.

"How do you anticipate we'll navigate through that?" he asks, clearing his throat.

You shook your head; in reality, you didn't have a plan, which wasn't the best move. You devised a solution.

"We run; I'll shoot if anything gets too close." You trembled a little, biting your nails. It's now or never. You started toward the door and motioned for Marvin to hurry his ass up.

You both sprinted outside, and you screamed as every which way a Lycan was near you. You heard Marvin yell, "(Y/n)!" On your heel, you whirled. You saw a Lycan tackle Marvin, shit!

You quickly shot the Lycan after aiming the gun at it. Marvin, you watched and saw it fall off. But more swarms began to form.

"Hurry!" You saw Marvin push a few Lycans as they started for him. More Lycans crept up on you as you gulped, but they suffered the same fate as the other Lycans.

Marvin soon approached you as you guarded him against other Lycans. Although the majority of Lycans were already dead, you knew more would still appear.

"Come on!" You both headed down the path.

"T...T-That was close!" Marvin panted, and you smiled a little.

"Hell yeah, were you hurt at all?" As you circled him several times, he seemed to be in good shape and nodded.

"Twisted ankle, that's all," he paused staring at your wrist.

"How's your wrist?" You gave a shrug

"It's still in pain, but it feels a little better, and I have medicine." Your eyes widened as you rummaged through your pockets.

"What? What is it?" You groaned and slapped your forehead in response to Marvin's query.

"I put the medicine and flashlight in the cubby for storage." Marvin gave you a shoulder pat as you frowned.

Before you could say anything, Marvin ran off and said, "I owe you."

"Marvin, are you fucking stupid?" You shouted.

"Marvin!"

Marvin, come back!" You watched as Marvin ran back to the house. He was going to get himself killed. You turned around after hearing a snicker behind you.

"Heisenberg..." You trembled, and he smirked.

"Long time, no see," he lowered his glasses and gave a wink. You faked throwing up.

"What do you want?" You gave him the death glare, and he laughed so hard you were convinced it was real.

"I think you know, darling." You gave him the finger and said, "Fat chance in hell." He smiled.

"I knew I would like you the moment I laid eyes on you." He came closer, and you stepped back only to hear someone running and panting, "(Y/n) I got it!" Your eyes widened as Heisenberg frowned.

"Aw, he's back." You glared at him, you turned your head to see Marvin waving and smiling. When you turned around again, Heisenberg was no longer there.

Marvin approached you head-on and rammed the medicine and flashlight into your chest. You glared at Marvin and remarked, "Are you naive? You could've been killed!" You snatched the medicine and the flashlight.

He laughed, "Well, I didn't." You caught up to him just as he started to walk away. "You really didn't have to do that," I said. Marvin caught your eye, but all he did was shrug.

"I owed you." With your eyebrows knit together, you gave him a bewildered expression. "What do you mean by that?" You questioned.

Marvin turns to face you, sighs, and places both of his hands on your shoulders. "You could have killed me, or at the very least left me there to perish. Still, you supported me and allowed me to live." He took a breath. "You put your faith in a total stranger." He then grinned while removing your hair from your face.

You turned your head away, and your eyes grew wide. "Hey, look!" Marvin turned his head, and his eyes grew big.

"House of Beneviento." He gasped, "Huh?" You looked at him. "I used to know her, you know, before she went mad." Your eyes widened

"You lived around here?" He grinned and nodded enthusiastically when you asked.

"I lived in the nearby village and fled as soon as the outbreak started." He started the long journey toward the House of Beneviento. As you closely trailed him, Marvin gave you a brief account of his life.

"My sister and I grew up on a farm." He stated

"What about your parents?" He looked down as you asked him a question, then you patted his back. "Oh, I'm sorry." He shrugged

"It happens."

"What about you?" You chuckled tensely in response to his question. "I don't really have much; my life was pretty basic." At you, he cocked his head.

"All right, how did you get here?" You sighed and made a valiant effort to recall.

You saw him again. A face was starting to come into view. Ros was there.

"Rose!" You yelled as you cast a quick glance to your right. Next to you, Mia was laying lifeless on the ground. "Oh, my god!" As tears streamed down your cheeks, you screamed.

"Who are you?" When you attempted to stand up, the man simply shook his head.

"You know very well who I am." Your eyes widened, "Ethan?" The man let out a chuckle, "Try again."

"(Y/n)!" Before you hit the ground, Marvin ran to you and caught you. "Huh?" Marvin helped you stand up as soon as you opened your eyes.

"What happened? Are you okay?" Your eyes started to sting as you recalled. "Rose... Mia..." You muttered to yourself. Your hands were balled.

"I won't pressure you to talk; you can talk when you're ready." As you two continued to walk silently, Marvin grinned.
