At 15 yo

They are on another auction party for charitable causes where the intention is not to benefit anyone but to show who is richer.

Kavin was tired. Dealing with people all the time, every day, tires him out. Dealing with his parents, dealing with all those girlfriends, dealing with people who patronize him because of his social position, dealing with big events like this one, and then having to deal with his studies and extracurricular activities, just everything is leaving him exhausted. He's only fifteen and he looks like he needs to behave like a 25-year-old. The only time he felt relaxed and felt like himself was when he was with his friends. Ren's paintings, Thyme's craziness and MJ's presence was all he needed for the rest of his life.

– Darling, don't just stand by the columns of the hall, talk a little with the guests! Having a good talk with some people in this salon can elevate you even more socially.

– I'm just resting, Mom. Mr. Chaikamon rented my ears for a few minutes to talk about the automotive economy outside Thailand. A lot of information.

Kavin smiles easily at his mother to show he's done something useful and that the urge to shove a whole loaf of bread into Mister Chaikamon's mouth to shut him up never crossed his mind.

– I understand dear. I know none of the girls we suggested were able to proceed to a more formal alliance, but sooner or later you have to ally with some family, so don't miss this chance to talk to more people tonight. It's good for our family's future.

Kavin knows what his mother meant was "You need to get engaged to one of the daughters of the families in this salon, don't think we're going to put up with you breaking up with every girl we suggest."

– Of course, Mom. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll go talk to the Jarustiwa family, see you later.

Kavin walks away from his mother and passes between people at the party without looking back, maybe if he talks a little with MJ who miraculously came to this party, his mood will immediately improve.

– Aunt Sanah! Uncle Boat! Good evening! Aunt Sanah, you look so gorgeous tonight!

– Oh, Kevin! So sweet of you. Sit here for a few minutes and talk a bit with us.

Kavin feels so welcomed by MJ's family. All these years of friendship proved to him that the Jarustiwa family was not like the others present there, although they belong to high society, the vision they have about things and the world makes them seem more human. Maybe that's why MJ is such an amazing person.

– Where is MJ? He rarely comes to these events, but when he does he makes sure we hang out together.

– I think you're going to lose your party buddy, boy. He went out into the garden about ten minutes ago with Supasap's daughter and still hasn't come back.

MJ's Dad laughs when talking about his son's sudden romantic interest. Kavin immediately got extremely confused, Supasap's daughter, Janhae, was the school's women's basketball captain, Kavin had never seen her and MJ talk outside the basketball court before.
