Loving Each Other(A Bleach- Shuhei Hisagi Fan Fiction)

Chapter 7- Confession

I unwrapped the small box Shuhei gave me and opened it quickly, I was getting impatient to see what was in the box. I opened it and saw a necklace with a heart in blue color pendant on it and a note beside it. I took out the note and started reading it.

'Dear Maiko,

I know that I'm writing you this letter, but the reason is that I won't be able to say what I'm going to say in this letter, in front of you. The thing is, Maiko, I love you, I have since I first bumped into you on your first day, I really liked the way it sounded when I told the old lady that we were married, I really like being with you. I love you a lot, Maiko. I don't know if you feel the same way or not. If you feel the same way, come to the nearby lake? At 11 am? Just come there please? Even if you don't feel the same, I just want to meet you there. If you feel the same then please wear the necklace. I love you.

-Shuhei'

I had tears if happiness rolling down my cheek. Shuhei loves me. I never knew that he did. I took out the necklace and placed it on my palm.

'Hmm, let's give him a small surprise'

I thought as I carefully put the necklace and the note back in the box and placed it on the table beside me and went to sleep.

*THE NEXT DAY*

I woke up and did the routine. By the time I was finished with the routine, it was 11:15 am. '15 minutes left!' I thought as dressed up in my uniform and places the necklace in my pocket.

I went outside and locked the door and started walking towards the lake where Shuhei had called me to meet him. It was 11:28 when I reached there and saw Shuhei standing there looking all nervous.

I went towards him. "Hey." I said and he looked up with a smile and saw me . His gaze went towards me back and his smile fell when he didn't see the necklace. "You don't?" He asked looking to the opposite direction.

I took out the necklace and held in my hand. I waved my hand in front of his face. He turned around and looked at me with confusion. "W-what? Does it mean-" He said, not finishing his sentence. Well, he didn't need to.

I placed the necklace in his hand and turned around. "Shuhei, can you say the things you had written in the letter? And then put the necklace on me?" I asked him with a small blush on my face. He couldn't see it as I had turned around.

I heard footsteps coming closer to me. "Maiko, I love you. Always have and always will. I fell for you the first time I saw you. I had loved you since then. I love you Maiko, I love you a lot." he said as he put the necklace on my neck.

I turned around and looked at him. He was looking at me. "I love you too, Shuhei. I had started to like you since we had first bumped into each other, I didn't knew that you felt the same way. I love you Shuhei!" I said with a huge smile. He had a huge smile on his face as well.

"Will you, um, be my g-girlfriend?" He asked nervously with a blush on his face. I nodded. "Yes, Shuhei. I will be your girlfriend." I said and smiled at him.

He put his arms around my waist and pulled me in a hug. I put my arms around his neck and hugged him back. We stayed there, hugging each other, in a comfortable silence.

After some minutes I pulled away but my hands were on his shoulders. He didn't remove his arms were still around my waist. He looked at me and then his gaze fell to my lips.

I felt my face getting hot as I looked at him. He started to lean in towards me with his eyes closed. I closed my eyes and leaned in and met him halfway.

His lips were moving against mine as he was kissing me gently. After some minutes we pulled away to catch out breath. We looked at each other while breathing with a smile on both of our faces. This was a good start of my love life.
