😭 THE EMOTIONAL DEPARTURE 😔

Sahadev stopped when he heard someone calling him. He turned around only to see the eldest Kaurav Prince walking towards him. Duryodhan raised his eyebrows at Sahadev asking,"What's that? Why are you suddenly Moody?" Sahadev rubbed his face saying,"No I'm not! What are you saying? I'm alright!" Duryodhan raised an amusing eyebrow at him saying,"Did I witnessed calm Pandav getting anxious?" Sahadev shrugged carelessly but asked,"What do you want now? Why are you here?" Duryodhan said,"You just didn't have your dinner well! You looked so lost! So I came to check on you!"

Sahadev looked away. He was not used to this type of interrogations. If it had been his brothers he would've glared the life out of them. But this is his elder cousin by God's grace who was talking to him without any hesitation or anger. He looked at the moon silently making Duryodhan to sit nearby him. Duryodhan patted the seat next to him saying,"Have a seat! We can talk for few minutes!" Sahadev didn't want to. He was always left alone when he had mood swings but since the eldest Kaurav asked him, he sat beside the man who took a stick drawing random patterns on the soil.

Sahadev held his head in pain. Duryodhan casually asked,"So, do you think your brother is better than me to be a King of Hastinapur?" The question jolted Sahadev out of his headache. He gulped saying,"I'm no one to judge, Bhrata Duryodhan! I'm happy as long as people are happy!" Duryodhan smiled at his addressal. It's always pleasant to hear little pandav's way of calling Bhrata.

There was a peaceful silence but suddenly Sahadev asked,"Who's your favourite Brother among Kauravas?" Duryodhan raised his eyebrows amusingly saying,"Well, not the question I expected, but my favourite will be Anuvindh!" Sahadev looked at Duryodhan with wide eyes asking,"Won't others will be upset?!"

Duryodhan chuckled saying,"I raised them up, Dev! I'm always straightforward and expect them to be straight forward too. In fact, I just want my brothers to respect me because I'm older. I never urged them to love me! It's not mandatory for my brothers to love me, in fact they have their favourites. Dushasan love vikarn, Yuyutsu and Dhanugraha even Anuvindha loves Salan more!"

Sahadev asked,"Who loves you more among the brothers?" Duryodhan shrugged saying,"I dunno! They may or may not love me! And I definitely don't care! They are my siblings and they should not feel compelled that they should love their Brother Duryodhan more! I gave them liberty to rebel and that doesn't mean I'm lenient. I definitely won't forgive if they lacked discipline in any way! We too are typical brothers. We fight too!"

"But you and Dusshasan are always close! From what others see...", Sahadev asked incredulously. Duryodhan said,"I love him too. He's bit talkative and sometimes he try to cool me off! So they decide their position of who's closer to me that day. You may have noticed yuyutsu near me if I'm facing Pandavas, Dhanugraha near me if I'm talking with pitamah, Dusshasan during sabhas! They always are the best brothers. They know how to keep me sane!"

Sahadev was surprised and curious. Wow, he never knew these. Duryodhan asked,"So who's your favourite Brother?" Sahadev puffed his chest saying, "Pandavas always love each other equally. We don't have favourites!" Duryodhan snorted saying,"That's really a balant white lie, Dev! You're Pandavas, I understand. That doesn't mean you all don't have favourites. You all will have a special bond with each other. One must be close to you, close your eyes and think about it!"

Sahadev cupped his face, closing his eyes to think but he had equal relationship with all his brothers! He opened his eyes pouting making Duryodhan ruffle his hair saying,"Maybe since you're youngest, you're close with everyone, Dev!" Sahadev nodded his head but they heard someone walking away.

Deciding to go since Sahadev seems to be fine, Duryodhan said,"Ok, I'll go! I have to meet Ashwatthama now! And I suggest you to talk with your brothers freely. It's okay to fight and reconcile with them. If you keep your issues within yourself, then they won't understand. It's okay to oppose them but never try to drift away from them. Goodnight, sleep well!" Sahadev smiled at him genuinely nodding his head. When the eldest Kaurav moved away, he reached his own chamber. He saw all his four brothers waiting for him.
