"Do you really believe I ever loved her?" "No, I never." He took a step forward and stopped in front of a lady.

"I've always loved you, I'm just pretending to love her," he added as he wrapped his fingers around her and pulled her closer.

"How come you're with her?" I get jealous and irritated when I see her around you, and she is extremely tactile," she explained.

"I..." before he could say "I open the door."
He was approaching me when I stepped back and yelled, "Stop!! How can you do that?! You're lying, right? I despise you! "I despise you, Ken!"

I hurried out of the room, sobbing uncontrollably. I was running somewhere I didn't know when a sound sounded from behind me. As I turned to face that sound, I noticed a car approaching me and...

"No!!!!!!!"

I opened my eyes. I was in my room, sweating and breathing heavily. I sighed when I realised it had all been a dream.

I got up because I couldn't sleep. I opened the window to allow in some fresh air. I took a deep breath. It was just a few minutes until the sun rose.

To unwind, I took a hot bath. I went downstairs to make breakfast for myself and my grandmother, who is still sleeping.

I went to wake up Grandma after breakfast. I opened the door and smiled as I approached her, seeing how relaxed she was.

"Good morning, grandma," I whispered softly.

"Good morning, did you get a good night's sleep?" "Yeah, why are you asking?" she enquired. I put on a phoney smile for her.

"Don't hide things from me," I groaned, sitting on the bed with my head on her lap. She strokes my head. It's like if I'm in heaven. It takes away all of your worry.

"Why is life like this, Grandma?"

"Dear, life is wonderful. It's like a trip where there's sometimes grief, sometimes bliss, and sometimes something completely else. "When life becomes difficult, don't be sad; instead, face it and come out the other side."

"Hm, understood," I said as I stood up and continued, "I'm going now, take care of yourself, and don't forget to take your medicine."

I got out of the car and caught a cab to university. I contacted Mark as he was entering college when I arrived. When he approached me, I said, "Hi, how are you??"

"Great, how about you?"
"Good," he responded, "so let's go," and we headed inside.

We walked inside the staff room and took our seats. I prepared the exam for the pupils. I went to calss as soon as I completed it.
"Good morning, ma'am," they all exclaimed as I entered the room. "Good morning, so ready for test??"

"Uhh!! "Ma'am, could you please postpone the test?" they said, making a puppy expression.
"Sorry, I informed you about the test, so I will take," I said, handing them test paper.

I went to the staff room after the lecture. I sat down and began correcting the test paper. Meanwhile, Mark arrived and informed me that the principal wanted to meet with me.

I got up and went to the main cabin. I knocked on the door, and a voice invited me in.

"Sir, you called me??"
"Yes, Miss Kate, what is your decision regarding the promotion?"

"I am accepting the promotion," I said after taking a long breath.

"Good, Miss Kate, I'm glad you accepted it."
I simply smiled as he continued, "After three days, you will be leaving for Australia, and the rest of your instructions will be given to you by Mr. Josh Warner."

As a result, he is still the principal. I was going to leave after the talk when Sir said, "Miss Kate, I forgot to tell you one thing."

"What is it, sir?" I inquired.
"Mark is also accompanying you; he has a job there."

What!!! Yes!!! Kate, please relax. I smiled, said "OK," and exited the room.

I got a call from home shortly after leaving the room.
"Hello, Grandma" i exclaimed
"Kate Please return!!! Fast !!"

"What ??why?? What occurred? "Grandma, grandmother!" Before Grandma could finish her sentence, the phone rang.

I tried to call again, but it said the phone was turned off. I panicked and rushed out the door, hailing a cab.

I burst the door as soon as I arrived, and what I saw stunned me...
