When I walked into the room, everyone greeted me with "Good morning, ma'am."

I greeted the students and invited them to begin the lesson.
I said, turning to face the white board, "Remove page number 60, and let's answer the first equation.
When the bell rang after an hour, I announced, "So that's for the day, do revision of the sums and tomorrow I'm going to take the test of chapter 5", and they all made sad faces.

Before leaving the room, I added, "And yes, no will still be absent tomorrow."
When I tapped on the door of the principal's cabin after class, a voice answered.

"Hm. Sir, why have you called me??" I said
"I agree, Miss Kate. Take a seat first because I have some excellent news for you" ,he said.

"Oh, excellent news, right? Just what is it?" I query.
After three years, I've been getting some good news, so I'm curious to know.

He exclaimed, grinning broadly, "So the news is that you've been promoted."

"Oh, that's nice," I said. "Miss Kate, are you unhappy?" "No, hm.... I mean, I'm happy, but you know sir, I'm not good at expressing myself," I replied with an awkward laugh.

"Miss Kate, I have something else to tell you," he said, looking straight at me. I nodded, and he continued, "You will now teach at St. Anth University, and you will relocate to Australia."

What!! No!! It can't be true. I don't want to go to Australia. I've been living in peace for three years. All of my previous memories flash through my mind.

My breathing became laboured as I began to feel uneasy. Eyes became watery.

"Kate, Kate, Kate!! Are you all right? Why are you sobbing?" Mr. Principal inquired.
I quickly wiped my tears away and said, "Nothing sir, I just need time to think about that offer."

I got up and left the room before Sir could process. I left school, took a taxi, and went home.

I was silent during the drive because those painful memories were playing on my mind and my tears were not stopping.

I knocked on the door as soon as I arrived home, and as soon as the gate opened, I dashed to my room.

I sobbed for an hour. Then someone knocked on the door, and a voice said, " "Kate! Dear ! What's the problem? Why are you sobbing? Is something going on? Please, dear, open the door. Kate!!"

"Grandma, leave!! I'm not in the mood to talk!! Please proceed "I stated that I was still crying.

"Please unlock the door!! Don't bother this old lady!" She stated
I opened the door after a few moments. As I opened the door, she was taken aback by my expression because I was exhausted from crying.

"Kate!! What's the problem, dear? Did anything happen while you were driving home? Huh!! Tell me, your slince is ruining my life "she stated

"I-I got promoted, and principal sir told me to go to Australia and teach at St. Anth University," I sobbed.

"Oh no, you scared me. I assumed something significant had occurred "she said with a smile of relief on her face

""am promoted to Australia," I said to Granny, "I ." Dear, I heard it clearly I know your history, and I know you don't want to return to Australia, but until when will you be afraid of that thing? You must overcome your apprehension." She stated

She took my hand in hers and said "Listen, our financial situation is bad here, and you need a good job with a good salary. I know I shouldn't say it, but I believe you should accept that offer."

I was surprised when she finished "What!! How can you possibly say that? I'd rather die than go there!!" I yelled.

She replied huskily "Kate, what happened was your past, and it is no longer with you. I know it's difficult to forget, but you can't let your future suffer as a result of your past."

"I won't force you, but you should think about it," she said as she walked away.

I got up and went up to the roof to get some fresh air and think about that offer. It was late in the evening, and the sky was stunning. Clouds float free in the air, and a cold and perfect breeze passes over my face. The tranquillity of the surroundings.

"Should I accept the offer? I despise him for ruining my past. I don't want to see his expression!! Huh!!!! So, what should I do?"

When an idea struck me, I took out my phone and doodled a number.

"I'd like to meet. Right now!" I stated over the phone
"All right," a voice said over the phone.

I hung up the phone and went downstairs, informing Granny that I was leaving and would return in a few hours.

I go for a walk in the park near my house. No one was there because it was late at night. After a few moments, someone arrived.
