Y/N POV

I can feel that this is going to be a good day. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping...

And this is not a chapter in a romance novel, whoopsies got carried away for a second.

Steffie, Jaina, Barrett, and Dani are all coming to hang out at the café today and I honestly can't wait to see them. They've been really busy filming season six of Station 19, and even though I can't complain since I do love the show, I miss them a lot. Oh, and they're bringing the dogs! Stef has had Jeff for what feels like forever and Dani just got this adorable goldendoodle puppy named Ford. I like to pretend that Ford thinks in that voice from those Ford F150 commercials.

Dani doesn't think it's that funny.

I manage to get to the shop earlyish today and I'm greeted by the little devils climbing all over me, aka, the cats. We sit together and I give them pets for a bit before finally getting up to open the shop. The sound of rumbling coffee machines and the smell of the baking in the oven brings the perfect amount of peace to match the day. I decide to keep the front door open since it's so nice and the warm breeze wafts in. There's something so nostalgic about the smell of fresh air. I-

"Y/N!" I hear a voice squealing out interrupting my thoughts.

I turn to look at the door and I see Stef and Dani hopping excitedly around, Jeff and Ford jumping at their heels. I can feel my face break out into a smile as I rush towards them, almost tripping over the number of small animals around the tables.

"Girls!" I shout, "Oh my gosh I've missed you so much!!!!"

"Ahh! We've missed you too bambina!" they smile, engulfing me in a bear hug.

"Ah ah ah, ok," Stef starts as she grabs an apron off the rack and Dani sits down behind the counter, "how has life been? I feel like it's been like forever since we last hung out, just, sai, é una vita pazzesca quella che fai."

"Honestly," I say, trying hard to conceal my smile as I automatically think of my two favourite customers. "It's been pretty amazing," I gush, my cheeks tinting pink.

"Oooh is there something you need to tell us," Steffie teases, wiggling her eyebrows. At this Dani sits up straight and smiles coyly at me. "It wouldn't have anything to do with that new customer that you mentioned a few days ago. The hot one with Lizzie."

"Shhh," I playfully glare at her. "I don't need the whole cafe knowing. But, yes, the hot one. She's more than just hot though," I place my hands on my hips, "she's kind and sweet, and she has a really fun personality, and she's super smart, and -"

I'm interrupted by a laugh. "Oh cucciolo," Stef giggles as she turns to Dani, "she's in love already."

"Awwwww," Dani sighs as she dramatically places her hand over her heart and sighs.

"Alright, alright," I throw my tea towel at Stef, "careful bellina, I'm starting to think that I should keep all of my garlic rapini to myself."

Stef's face falls and she rushes towards me, grabbing my hands in hers. "No no no, I'm sorry I will never tease you again. I PROMISE. Just do not take away the rapini!!!!"

I laugh at her antics and pretend to contemplate, "Hmmm, all right I guess. Just for you mi vida"

We double over laughing as Dani just shakes her head at us. We spend the rest of the morning rush gossiping about the show and their fans. Apparently, there's a book on wuttpad or something that's called the assistant that someone told Stef to read. Around ten o'clock Jaina and Barrett walk in, arguing about whether or not to dip your chips in salsa or sour cream first. Sometimes I wonder how they're functioning as adults.
