CHAPTER 1:HEADING TO MANILA

Free Agency was about to end,among the 16 that was not selected, 10 were signed by teams,like the San Diego Pirates who signed Shooting Guard Monta Gibson,who didn't even get any minutes in the rookie challenge!Now,only 2 days left, and free agency is ending and the next season will start in 8 weeks.

Kevin sat in the couch sadly and saw Erick turn on the TV and switched the channel from BBA TV(Basket-Brawl Association TV) to ESPN to watch the 2005 NBA Draft,who was already about to announce the 1st overall pick.

"So,who's the First pick this year?"Erick whispered to himself

"With the first pick in the 2005 NBA draft," NBA commissioner,David Stern said "the Milwaukee Bucks select,Andrew Bogut from University of Utah!"

"Who on earth is Andrew Bogut?" Kevin asked

"A Bigman from Utah,he's epic!But,I thought the Bucks would draft a Point Guard like Deron Williams or Chris Paul" Erick replied

Kevin looked at Erick sternly after hearing the word Point Guard.

"Oops," Erick said "I forgot"

Kevin stands up and decided to go to his room and turn on the computer.He opened the Internet Explorer* (*It's 2005) and opened his Gmail to see if someone offered him a contract, and was glad to see one unread on the list,but was disappointed to see it was not from the BBA, but from a shipping brand called Air 21,what's weird about it that it comes from the word 'Express' in it,even though it hasn't any.Kevin thought it was a wrong send but still read it anyway, and was shock to read it.It says:

Hi! I am the General Manager of the Air 21 Express from the Philippine Basketball Association, and we would like to negotiate a contract with you!We would like you to play for us for the Philippine Cup!We would like to offer you 9,500,000 Pesos,that's $432.953k in the America,for the whole Conference(Or the Philippine Cup)!what do you have to say?

Kevin red the message loudly,enough for Erick to hear

"Did I heard Money?" Erick came

"Yeah,but it's from the Philippines."Kevin said "I don't wanna go over seas."

As Kevin was about to close the tab,Erick stopped him.

"Hold on man!" Erick stopped Kevin "This could be a chance!If you do well here in the PBA,then maybe a BBA team will sign you and you finally got your chance in your dream!Plus,we could earn easy money here!That $432.953 k is the salary of BBA player Justin Blair of the Utah Bears.So maybe just accept it and see what you got!"

Kevin hesitated to answer,but said yes anyway."Fine," Kevin said "But if I don't make it to Basket-Brawl,you'll be the person I'll blame."Kevin stands up,and told Erick to call the Air21 Express to accept the offer.
