"We need to get back to base."

Me and Alex were in a dark gray convertible that we had hijacked. I feel bad about stealing someone's car and driving miles away with it. They would probably never get their vehicle back, partially because it was too far, but mostly because the government was keeping the citizens in contained cities. Me and Alex had to break through defenses to exit the city. But thankfully, we were, for once, not surrounded by androids.

Alex drove like a pro. Even though I was nearly 17, I never really wanted to learn how to drive. I wasn't one of those boys who was crazy about driving. The road we were on was in an abandoned neighborhood, as most towns were now, so we were basically driving on a highway with no cars, so Alex taught me how to drive.

Of course we had tried using our mics, but our mini mics were out of range, meaning that the other survivors on the hospital mission had returned safely. If they were dead we would still be able to hear through their mic.

I was driving steadily, enjoying myself when suddenly Alex motioned for me to let him take the wheel. He turned at a street and started driving away from the general direction of the base. "Where are we going?" I asked as he drove in a direction that was definitely away from the base. "Please, trust me on this," Alex pleaded. Alright, he's like one of the only people I can trust now.

He gritted his teeth like he saw something I couldn't, we reached a dead end but he kept on driving on. "Alex..." We were meters from the brick wall that was blocking the road. "ALEX!" I shouted, he turned the car around but let go of the gas pedal, and we crashed through the brick wall backwards.

Glass shattered around us as we crashed through an invisible wall, while we had crashed backwards through a brick wall, we were now driving forwards. The car stopped, and I saw a large castle, with machine gun turrets on the walls and perched on every window.

"WHO ARE YOU?" A voice boomed through the air. Alex got up and out of the car and I scrambled to follow. Alex made a motion towards his face, but was interrupted by another crashing noise from behind us. I looked behind us and saw Damian at the front of an army of survivors. "Good job Alex, you found the rebellion members!" Damian congratulated.

"Invasion!" I looked back at the castle with machine guns, an army in armor had appeared, defending the castle, and I could see eyes glinting from behind the machine gun turrets. At the front was a man that resembled a samurai, with black armor lined in gold and red robes underneath and two katanas, one longer than the other.

Damian stepped forwards, with murder in his eyes. What's happening, I don't understand anything! "Kill Chase, we have no use for him now," he commanded. Did he keep me alive just to find this place? But I don't even know how I got here, it was all Alex. Alex ran forwards, but not at me, as Damian in one fluid motion pivoted, plunging his sword into Damian's heart. Damian's army abruptly stopped their advancement as their leader gasped, blood pumping out of the wound in his chest. His new metal arm had been raised up to defend himself, but not in time. Alex put his hand on the edge of his teenage face, and peeled a layer of plastic from his face. At the same time, Alex pulled his hair, which was a wig, off. Longer hair of the same color as his wig fell down to his waist. No, not his face, her face. Alex was a mask, someone pretending to be someone else. Damian's eyes filled with surprise a moment before he passed out.

Alex turned towards me, and the face there was familiar to me. I instantly recognized the deep blue eyes and dark brown hair that belonged to Alex- and someone else.

It was Khloe.
