I'm sorry if anything comes off wrong, or maybe there's some plot holes, or I skip anything. I've been doing my best to write and I'll eventually proof over it when I can. I've lost my grandfather recently and it's been hard on me, plus one of my animals is not doing so well. If you spot any mistakes or have any critiques, please absolutely feel free to let me know and I will fix them! I'd hate for the story to drop in quality. 🫶🏻 just reply to this paragraph to make it easier for me to find, thank you!

As Jake walks through the forest, he is surrounded by a world of color and life.

The trees stretch high into the sky, their leaves a mix of greens, yellows, and oranges.

The ground is covered in a soft, green moss, and wildflowers grow in patches of bright blues, purples, and pinks. The sunlight filters through the leaves, casting a warm glow on everything around.

He's hand in hand with his eldest, and Spider isn't far behind as he trails along.

As they continue to walk together, the forest becomes even more vivid. The usual creek is their first stop - where the water is crystal clear and flowing gently. The rocks in the riverbed are smooth and worn, and it's easy to see the fish swimming around in the water.

They follow the river for a while, enjoying the sound of the water as their feet step against the shallow end, and the cool breeze it creates on this hot day.

Spider calls out with his smaller voice, whining about not being able to keep up as he has smaller legs.

Jake turns to him with a smile on his face as he laughs at the way Spider crosses his arms.
"Come on, I'll let you up. We're almost there."

It's a bit of a jump at first for Spider to get on his back, but he realizes easier when Jake has him settled around his shoulders.

Heights never scared him, which was a whole new experience considering he couldn't carry human-you around for long as the almost nine-foot height added on was enough to make you sick.

"Where are we going, anyway?" Neteyam asks as he squeezes his fathers hand harder.

"We're going to see Norm. He and Lia are working on their song cords today. I figured it was time to show you how to add to yours."
