Station 9 3/4 was filled with young witches and wizards boarding the bright, scarlet train that would take them to one of the most beautiful, yet odd schools in the world. Willow Dalton yearned to return to the Hogwarts, which was like a second home to her. Don't get her wrong, she adored spending the break with her parents in their small, cozy home. But since her parents, Clara and Frederick Walton, were muggles, she often felt distanced from magic.

"I'll miss you so much dear," said her mother warmly, with a sad look in her eye. "Be careful and learn lots." Her mood always deflated when Willow had to leave for Hogwarts since she was her only child. The only thing keeping her from breaking down in the crowded station each year was Frederick, who always reassured her that Willow would be just fine. He himself had a heavy heart seeing his little girl leave, but made sure to keep it together for his family.

"Willow, be sure to write to us every week." said Frederick, sternly looking at his daughter. "I love you and have fun!" He smiled, breaking his serious demeanor and pulling Willow into a hug.

"I will, I promise!" Willow said, grinning and giving both of her parents a tight embrace. She would be lying if she said that she wouldn't miss her mum and dad. They both spoiled her with as much love as they could possibly give and more. They were the perfect parents and Willow couldn't be more grateful.

Willow climbed the train's steps and was immediately met with the sound of students chattering on about what they did over the break. Luckily, since Willow's parents had dropped her off at a quarter to eleven, there were many empty compartments.

She walked around the bustling train, looking for a particular bubbly blonde. Willow was sure that Daniella Chastain was there since she hated being late. Daniella always showed up way too early to places, because as she would say, "On time is late, early is on time."

It didn't take Willow long to find her best friend, who sat in a compartment that was almost at the very back of the train.

"Willow! I've missed you so much! I have so much to tell you, you can't even imagine!" exclaimed Daniella as soon as she saw Willow slide the compartment door open. She jumped up from her seat and embraced a giggling Willow in fierce hug.

Daniella looked even prettier than she had last year. She had grown an inch or two and styled her hair differently, but she always had her vibrant blue eyes and her light freckles.

Willow had also grown a bit over the summer break. Her beautiful curls had grown a bit past her shoulders and were styled neatly. Her light hazel eyes had a few specks of green, which stood out against her tan skin.

"I've missed you too," said Willow, placing a cage that contained her reddish brown tawny owl named Ozzy on the cushion seat. Both girls sat opposite each other in the seats next to the window.
