The first Saturday after the new term had begun, the students were allowed to visit Hogsmeade. Willow had told Cole all about Hogsmeade and how he had to try the butterbeer from The Three Broomsticks. So that Saturday, she agreed to meet him there.

"It's freezing!" shivered Daniella, her lashes collecting small flecks of snow. "I hate the cold."

"I love the cold," defended Willow. It was her favorite time of the year ever since she was little. Her parents used to take her to the Christmas fair in their town, which was filled with winter activities. "You just miss wearing skirts and shorts."

"Of course I miss them, they're much more pretty than these gastly, thick pants," the blonde complained. "When did you say you were meeting Cole?"

"In about an hour."

"Great!" squealed Daniella, linking arms with Willow and walking in direction of the pub.

When they entered The Three Broomsticks, the pub was almost completely full. Towards the center of the pub was a small, empty table.

"I'll order the drinks," offered Willow, leaving to go to the bar.

When she walked up, she quickly placed the order for two hot butterbeers. The bar chairs were mostly filled with older men and women, chatting away about work and family stuff. As Willow looked down towards the other end of the bar, she noticed Harry sitting there, talking to Ludo Bagman. They both were talking in hushed whispers, but Harry looked particularly uncomfortable.

"Here you go, dear," said Madame Rosmerta, bringing Willow's attention away from the unusual pair.

Willow thanked her and took the drinks back to the table where Daniella sat playing with the napkins. The girls quickly drank the warm drinks, which brought their body temperature up, and gossiped about the Yule Ball.

"I can't believe Ron said that to her!" scoffed Daniella. Willow had told her about their argument that night, which Hermione had spilled the details on the day after the ball.

"Yeah, but it looks like their fine with each other now," said Willow, her eyes falling on the Gryffindor trio that sat a couple tables away.

As they continued talking, their conversation was interrupted by Harry loudly saying, "Trying to ruin someone else's life?"

The tables around slowly stopped talking, turning to the well known writer, Rita Skeeter, and Harry Potter, who seemed to be in a quarrel.

"Harry!" said Skeeter, sickly smiling. "How lovely! Why don't you comeand join — ?"

"I wouldn't come near you with a ten-foot broomstick," saidHarry angrily. "What did you do that to Hagrid for, eh?"

Rita Skeeter's recent article had been circling around about Hagrid being part giant. Willow didn't think it such a big deal. Hagrid had always been a bit daft, but kind nonetheless.
