Hanna Madden relied on being with her friends. Being at home made her feel trapped, especially if she was alone. Her family was great, but she didn't feel super comfortable around them. They didn't do anything to make her feel that way, she just did. Her two best friends, Adrienne and Jules were always with her, no matter where she was. The three became best friends in grade four, and have been attached at the hip since. They all had their first drinks together, and made up scenarios about the guys they obsessed over. Being together was a judge- free zone, which Hanna loved. They all went to a private school in Tampa, Florida. They have gone there for as long as they remember, and Hanna was thankful since their school didn't deal with the shootings or anything like that often. Their whole group did, which included them, Luca, Thomas and Caysen. Adrienne had a twin brother, Caysen. Hanna has always thought he was cute, since she became friends with Adrienne. The two siblings are super close, so they hangout with the same people. In middle school Caysen told Hanna he liked her, and she completely turned him down. She thought it was a joke, but also didn't want to confess her feelings for the young boy because she was best friends with his sister. Now that they are in high school, Hanna sometimes regrets the decision she made a few years ago.
Adrienne would get sick of girls in her grade obsess over her brother. To her, Caysen was annoying, embarrassing, and overall just her sibling. But to everyone at their school, Caysen was a super hot guy who played football and lacrosse, your typical popular high school boy. His two close friends, Luca and Thomas were basically the same. Luca did lacrosse, and Thomas did football. They had all been friends for awhile as well, the two groups just blending together over time. Adrienne and Caysens parents would make their groups do everything together. Go to fairs, arcades, trips or anything like that since they were in middle school. Jules and Luca had a thing freshman year, but didn't want to mess up the group. That was part of the reason why Hanna didn't even want to think of Caysen that way, because she was afraid it would make their group awkward.
Hanna had an older sister, Sarah, who was in her second year of university at UCLA, and a younger brother, Liam, who was in middle school. Her and Liam weren't super close, but he could always come to her if he needed too. Hanna wasn't super close with her parents, her father is a lawyer and her mother works with a bunch of brands. She didn't see them that often, but it honestly never really bothered her. She had lots of freedom, which was always nice. Adrienne and Caysen were the only kids in their family, and their parents are the sweetest ever. Hanna thought of them as her second parents, sometimes first. Jules parents weren't together, and she lived with her dad and older brother, Max. Luca had a younger sister, Lily, she was a freshman. His parents are divorced, but live a couple minutes from each other. Thomas is an only child, super spoiled and has the most loving parents of them all. He got almost everything he wanted, but he treated his parents well.
' Hanna, can you hurry up? Thomas isn't gonna wait for us' Jules said to the girl as they were at her locker, which was all the way upstairs. The short blond nodded, quickly shutting it and following her friend downstairs. ' I cannot believe Caysen wouldn't wait for us. He literally lives 5 minutes from us both'
Caysen had absolutely no patience when it came to leaving school. If you weren't at his car before him, he was leaving without you. Sometimes he would leave without Adrienne, but not usually. Jules and Hanna got into Thomas' car, Luca in the front. ' Am I an uber service?' He said, leaving school quickly.
' Blame Caysen, he never waits for us' Hanna said, texting Adrienne about the group's plans later. It was only a 10 minute drive to Hanna's from school, the two girls getting out. ' See you guys later'. Luca and Thomas said goodbye, quickly driving off. Jules went into the house, saying hi to Hanna's mom, the two going upstairs to her bedroom. They quickly changed out of their skirts and polo shirts, putting on shorts and tank tops.
Jules looked at her phone, a text from their groupchat. ' It says to be at Adrienne and Caysen's for 8 ish, so more like 9' she said, Hanna chuckling and nodding. The twins invited everyone over to go swimming and order pizza, since it was a friday. ' Should we just sleep there tonight?' Jules asked the blond, who nodded.
