Street POV
Chris hadn't noticed yet that I was still inside the locker room. I was waiting for her because of the mission today. There was an explosion. I feel bad I wasnt there when it happened. We were split up. Luca, Tan and I we were on the other building when the explosion happened. Hondo got a scratch on his arm and Deacon managed with a couple of bruises. Chris got knocked out when the blast knocked them back. Im still here waiting for her. I just wanted to make sure she got to her jeep alright.
She had finished tying her boot and when she looked up she almost fell over.
"Woah. Chris. You okay?" I asked
"I told them not to have you wait for me." She said without looking at me
"Well. I told them I would." I said
"You didn't have to." She said
"I know. But I wanted to." I said
She turned to the door and almost fell over yet again. From being dizzy.
"This concussion. It's nothing. I'm fine." Chris said
I gave her a look that said we both know that's not entirely true. But sure.
"Im just going home and going to bed." She said
"You really shouldn't be alone. The concussion." I said but being cut off before I could finish
"It's fine." She said
"Im still staying at your place tonight. Just to be safe. You could have something wrong and nobody would know till morning." I said
"Whatever." She said but she knew I was right
We walked out of HQ and I looked back at Luca and mouthed to him "Thank you telling me to stay"
He gave me a thumbs up.
"Stupid concussion protocol. Now I'm out of the field for two days at least." She said.
"I know. I'm sorry." I said
"Stupid." She said irritated
"If it keeps us safe. Then is it really stupid?" I said giving her a smile
"Just because I may be concussed. Doesn't mean I can't not still kick your ass Street." Chris said
I laughed. "Im sure that's still true." I said
